Kemp spent the past three seasons playing for Yale, where he racked up nine goals, 18 helpers and 53 PIM in 88 appearances. The blueliner will almost certainly spend the upcoming season with AHL Bakersfield, though Oscar Klefbom's shoulder injury could open up a roster spot.
