Peter Mueller is no longer listed as being sidelined due to a groin injury, but he's still recovering from post-concussion symptoms.
There's no timetable for Mueller's return. Mueller has been limited to just three games over the last two seasons, so even when he returns, we're not sure how effective he'll be.

Peter Mueller, who has been dealing with post-concussion symptoms, now has a groin injury as well.
Mueller is staying off the ice to give the new injury a chance to heal. Seeing as there's no timetable for Mueller's return from a concussion, it's hard to say if this new injury will force him to stay on the sidelines for longer than he otherwise would have.

Peter Mueller (concussion) won't play in Wednesday's game.
The good news is Mueller did participate in Monday and Tuesday's practices. Concussion symptoms have limited Mueller to just three games since the start of the 2010-11 season.

Peter Mueller (concussion) was able to fully participate in Monday's practice, but it doesn't sound like he's close to returning.
Mueller still needs to have "good days" in succession. After missing the entire 2010-11 season due to a concussion, Mueller attempted to return for the Avalanche's season opener. Unfortunately, he only lasted three games before he had to stop playing. We'll keep you posted.

The Colorado Avalanche have placed Peter Mueller (concussion) on the injured reserve list.
Mueller has been skating with the team but still is unable to go and has not played since October 12, the third game of the season. He missed all of last season with the concussion, but is still only 21, so he is definitely young enough to have a good NHL career if he is able to get healthy. The Avalanche placed him on IR when they needed his spot on the roster to activate Brandon Yip. Consider Mueller day-to-day for now as he continues to skate every day.

Peter Mueller (concussion) will not play on Saturday.
The Avalanche thought Mueller might return as early as Thursday, but he's needed more time. Mueller has only played in three games since April 4th, 2010, so we imagine he'll be pretty rusty once he's finally ready to return.

Peter Mueller will not make his return to Colorado's lineup on Thursday night from a concussion.
"We thought there would be a chance he might play, but after the morning skate, he's not ready yet," said coach Joe Sacco. "He's day-to-day." Mueller hasn't played since Oct. 12 because of post-concussion symptoms, but he appears to be close to getting back to action.

Peter Mueller (concussion) might play on Thursday's game against the New York Islanders.
Mueller skated on a line with Matt Duchene and David Jones during Wednesday's practice. "Looks like he's improving, looks good," Avalanche coach Joe Sacco said. "We'll see how he feels after (this morning) and make a decision then." Mueller missed all of last season and played in just three games in 2011-12 before returning to the sidelines. Although the Avalanche have been classifying it as a head injury, Mueller confirmed that he's been dealing with concussion symptoms. However, Mueller doesn't think the reoccurrence of concussion symptoms serious and he described the month he's missed since being put back on the sidelines as "a precautionary thing." When he's 100%, Mueller is a solid top-six forward, but even if he's healthy now, he will still probably need a considerable amount of time to shake off the rust.
