Goalie Start: Fleury starts for the Penguins. dailyfaceoff.com Sat 1/25/14 2:56 PM
Fleury allowed one goal on 24 shots in a 5-1 win over the Canadiens on Wednesday. It was a calm night for Fleury, until he and Peter Budaj attempted to drop the mits, however that was broken up almost immediately. Like most nights, he should makes for a strong start in Dallas tonight.

ALL GOALIES CONFIRMED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AT TIME OF PRINT
Corey Crawford and the potent Chicago Blackhawks take on the NY Rangers who have gone 9-8-3 in their last 20 with Cam Talbot getting three of those wins. Henrik Lundqvist has not been his brilliant self this season and his record and metrics show that at 12-16-3 with a 2.78 GAA and a pedestrian .906 SP. The Blueshirts really need the King to get back on track if they want to make the playoffs this season and having to face the Blackhawks could either get him jump-started or add another nail in this otherwise disastrous season. Chicago is just too good at home with a 15-2-6 record....Peter Budaj looks to rebound after his last outing resulted in a 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. In fact Budaj's last 2 starts were against the Cats and both were losses. He may be happy to be facing a red-hot Philadelphia Flyers team that has gone 8-2-0 in past 10 games. Steve Mason gets the call and he will have something to say about that as Mason has been playing solidly in net for the Flyers. Philly on home ice is the advantage....Craig Anderson has turned his season around in Ottawa with a 5-game winning streak but his metrics still aren't that great, even with a 5-0 shutout against Pittsburgh thrown in there. Semyon Varlamov (LIKELY) has got to feel pretty good about his No. 1 status in Colorado and will look to continue his fine season. He will be the beneficiary of an Avalanche team that is ready to avenge their loss against Calgary last game out. Varly has won three in a row and will make it 4 tonight.
FANTASY MUST-START
Corey Crawford, Chicago vs. NY Rangers
Semyon Varlamov, Colorado vs. Ottawa
SLEEPER ALERT
None.

Goalie Start: Budaj faces Florida on Sunday. dailyfaceoff.com Sun 12/29/13 12:56 AM
Budaj allowed two goals on 25 shots in a loss to the Panthers on December 15. On Sunday he will get a chance to avenge that defeat when he takes on the Panthers once again. He has been a great spot-start option all season and Sunday is no different.
Goalie Start: Budaj starts for the Canadiens. dailyfaceoff.com Sun 12/15/13 7:56 PM
Budaj allowed two goals on 14 shots after replacing Carey Price on Tuesday. He is 5-1-1 with a 1.92 GAA and .929 SV% this season. He draws a good matchup vs. the Panthers and is definitely worth a Sunday spot-start.
THE GOALIE EDGE: 12/15/2013 primepucks.com Sun 12/15/13 12:56 PM
There are only two games from Sunday NHL slate that we could recommend must-start options in goal. First, the surging Anaheim Ducks try for their fifth straight as they battle against Edmonton. They are 12-0-2 at home, where Jonas Hiller, their likely starter, has gone 7-0-2 with a 1.77 GAA. The Oilers will probably be handing the starting reins to the newly activated Ilya Bryzgalov who has been impressive in limited duty with a 2.11 GAA and a .939 GAA. Take the Anaheim goalie in this one.. Not sure who is starting in the Montreal goal, but the Canadiens owned the Florida Panthers last season with a 3-0 record while outscoring them 10-3. Florida's Scott Clemmensen gets the call, but he has been largely inconsistent this season. The Canadiens are the much better team, so roll with either CareyPrice or Peter Budaj.

DAILY PRIME - DECEMBER 5, 2013: SURPRISE! SURPRISE! SURPRISE! primepucks.com Thu 12/5/13 8:30 AM
SURPRISE 1 SORTA: Well, the first game on the night wasn't much of a surprise as the Montreal Canadiens behind backup Peter Budaj earned the extra point in a shootout victory over the New Jersey Devils and goaltender Cory Schneider. It was Schneider's first loss after winning three in a row but the surprising thing about this match was that 5 of the 6 goals scored in regulation were scored in the 3rd period. The Habs took both matches of a home-and-home series....David Desharnais has found the confidence since being reunited with Max Pacioretty. DD has points in six of the last 8 games helping the Canadiens win 7 of those 8 games. It may be your last chance to grab Desharnais from a disgruntled owner but that may have been easier a week ago. The streak has them in 3rd place of the Eastern Conference with Boston and Pittsburgh ahead of them. They have a chance to move into a tie for first place if they win tonight over the Bruins and the Penguins lose in regulation to the San Jose Sharks.....SURPRISE 2: The Detroit Red Wings, without the services of Pavel Datysuk and Henrik Zetterberg because of injuries, took a 3-1 lead late into the second period before Jimmy Howard let in 5 unanswered goals (4 of those in the 3rd period) by the Philadelphia Flyers, stunning the Joe Louis Arena crowd with the Flyers winning 6-3. Howard's play has at best erratic this season as he has been counted on to carry this talented Red Wing team. Backup Jonas Gustavsson has a better record and better numbers so far this season. If you need goaltending help, and want to take a chance that Howard will return to form, then this is your best shot at getting him on the cheap...Philly G Steve Mason continued his superb season by turning aside 32 of 35 SOG, raising his record to 10-8-2. He has been the beneficiary of the resurgent Flyers offense as he has kept them in games even when they started the season off horribly. Continue to start Mason with extreme confidence.... C Sean Couturier was the offensive star of the game with 2 goals and 2 assists in the contest. With only 14 points in 28 games, he hasn't been what the team hoped he would be, but he does have 10 points in his last 9 games. Might be worth a, pardon the pun, flier....Matt Read and Scott Hartnell both chipped in with a goal and 2 assists each. Keep an eye on these two as they could get more involved in the Flyer offense....SURPRISE 3: After Coyote D-man Keith Yandle scored early in the first period, it was all ...

Goalie Start: Budaj starts for the Canadiens dailyfaceoff.com Wed 12/4/13 2:56 PM
Budaj gave up two goals on 26 shots in a loss to the Capitals last Friday. The loss was is second of the season and moved him to 4-1-1 with a 1.63 GAA and .939 SV%. He has been great when called upon so far and has a solid matchup versus a punch-less offence in New Jersey. On a quiet night in the NHL he makes for a solid spot-start.
