ALL GOALIES ARE CONFIRMED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AT THE TIME OF PRINT Four games on the docket tonight. First off we have the Columbus Blue Jackets heading into Toronto to take on Jonathan Bernier (LIKELY) and the Maple Leafs. The Blue jackets are trying to claw their way into a playoff position with just a few weeks left.  Sergei Bobrovsky gives them as good a chance as any but will need a full team effort to climb over a few teams while brushing off others who are also trying to get in the picture. Toronto is tough at home, so go with the Leafs...The ever-changing Buffalo Sabres ride into Big D to take on Kari Lehtonen (LIKELY) and the Dallas Stars. Newly acquired Jaroslav Halak will have to wait for his first start as a Sabre as Jhonas Enroth gets the nod. Perhaps Halak will be flipped, along with Chris Stewart as Buffalo looks to rebuild quickly.  Both were obtained in the Ryan Miller deal to St. Louis.  Too much turmoil in the Buffalo locker room and with Dallas battling for a playoff position, I'd go with the Stars at home...Darcy Kuemper (LIKELY) goes for the sixth straight time for the Minnesota Wild as they host the Calgary Flames. Kuemper has started 13 of the past 14 games for the Wild going 9-2-2.  Reto Berra gets a second straight start after beating the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in overtime last game out. Tough to not go with the Wild in this one....Jonathan Quick (LIKELY) and the Los Angeles Kings take on the Montreal Canadiens before heading out on a mini 3-game road trip of Western Canada. The Kings have won 4 straight, 3 after the Olympic break.  Quick has given up 2 goals in three starts and has returned to elite status.  Carey Price suffered a minor injury upon his return to practice after winning the gold medal and may get another day's rest. Peter Budaj (LIKELY) has performed admirably in Price's absence with the Habs winning 2 of the three starts, but gaining 5 of 6 crucial points in the standings. Montreal starts a 4-game road trip of California and Phoenix and may catch the Kings looking forward to 2 days off. FANTASY MUST STARTS: Kari Lehtonen, Dallas vs. Buffalo Darcy Kuemper, Minnesota vs. Calgary SLEEPER: Peter Budaj, Montreal @ Los Angeles DAILY GOALIE PICKS: Steve: (78-46) Darcy Kuemper Ray: (71-53) Kari Lehtonen Mike: (60-45) TBA

Goalie Start: Budaj will start vs. the Leafs on Saturday. dailyfaceoff.com Fri 2/28/14 2:56 PM

With Carey Price still sidelined with a lower-body injury, Budaj will make his third straight start tomorrow. Budaj allowed five goals on 32 shots, but walked away victorious in OT on Thursday night in Pittsburgh. In his last two starts he is 1-0-1 with a 3.26 GAA and .887 SV%. Tomorrow's tilt with the Maple Leafs is a big game for the Habs, who sit just two points up on Toronto in a tight Atlantic division race.

Goalie Start: Budaj expected to start on back-to-back nights. dailyfaceoff.com Thu 2/27/14 7:56 PM

Budaj allowed two goals on 28 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the Red Wings last night. It was a relatively defensive game by both teams, which kept Budaj fresh enough to start both games of the back-to-back with Carey Price battling a lower-body injury. Thursday will be difficult for Budaj as he gets set to take on the Penguins.

ALL GOALIES ARE CONFIRMED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AT THE TIME OF PRINT The Columbus Blue Jackets are still trying to claw their way into a playoff position but will find a tough opponent in the New Jersey Devils. Cory Schneider is firmly entrenched as the Devils Number 1 goaltender with Martin Brodeur quietly seeking a trade. Schneider's numbers are spectacular even though his win-loss record doesn't live up to those metrics.  However, he does give the Devils thebe best chance at winning, and that is what they need in order to get back into the playoff hunt.  Sergei Bobrovsky has been playing much better since his return from injury and he will need to lead the Jackets if they want to play in the dance come April. Devils at home.....The New York Islanders will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on the Island tonight but without their superstar, John Tavares.  Evgeni Nabokov will man the nets for the depleted squad while Jonathan Bernier goes for the Leafs. The Leafs may prove too much for the inexperienced Islanders who will also be without the services of Frans Nielsen & Matt Martin. Leafs blow away the Isles...their 11-4 surge started when they beat tonight's opponent, the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2 in Chicago on January 8th. Henrik Lundqvist also started to return to form and the Rangers have been rolling along up until the Olympic break.  Lundqvist gets another days rest as Cam Talbot mans the pipes for the Blueshirts. The Hawks are 3-3-3 in past 9 and will try and get back on track with Corey Crawford getting the start. The Rangers should be focused as they don't play again until Saturday against Philly.  Rangers.... Speaking of Philly, San Jose heads into the City of Brotherly Love but won't find any as Steve Mason and the Flyers are pushing to secure a playoff position.  Alex Stalock should get the nod for the Sharks but will face a tough opponent tonight. Antti Niemi gets a little more rest. Take the cheesesteaks....The Montreal Canadiens had a tough overtime loss last night against Detroit but there is no letting up as they face the Eastern Conference leader, the Pittsburgh Penguins.  With Carey Price out for at least one more game, Peter Budaj (LIKELY) will probably man the crease again tonight. The Pens will probably go with Marc-Andre Fleury as they seek to lock down the top seed for the playoffs. With their legs under them now, I see an upset in Steeltown....A revitalized Braden Holtby leads the Washington Capitals into Miami, Florida to take on Tim ...

Goalie Start: Budaj gets the call on Wednesday vs. Detroit. dailyfaceoff.com Tue 2/25/14 2:56 PM

Budaj's last start was on January 30, he stopped 34 of 35 shots in a 4-1 win over the Bruins. The Canadiens will give Carey Price an extra day of rest after a long Olympics. Price will likely get the nod on Thursday, but Budaj will get his second home start of the season when the Red Wings come to town.

Goalie Start: Laco starts vs. Russia. dailyfaceoff.com Sun 2/16/14 8:56 AM

Laco gets the start over NHLers Jaroslav Halak and Peter Budaj in Slovakia's final game of the preliminary round. Laco has posted a 9-2-0 record with a 1.47 GAA and .942 SV% with Donbass HC of the KHL. He faces the tough task of trying to take down the Russians this morning.

Goalie Start: First signs of morning skate for Habs indicates that ... dailyfaceoff.com Thu 1/30/14 2:56 PM

Budaj allowed one goal on eight shots in a relief effort of Carey Price on Saturday. It would be his first start since January 8, a night he allowed three goals on 27 shots in a loss to the Flyers. He has been a solid spot-start option this season, but with the Habs in Boston, you should look elsewhere tonight.
