Zacha continues to be away from the team due to immigration issues, Chris Ryan of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
At this point, it seems unlikely Zacha will get into a preseason game, depending on how long this issue remains unresolved. The center should still be a lock for the 23-man roster and will almost certainly be in the lineup for Opening Night against the Jets on Friday. If the Czech can play a full 82-game schedule, he could top the 30-point mark for the first time in his career.

Zacha agreed to terms on a three-year, $6.75 million contract with New Jersey on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha had reportedly agreed to terms with KHL club Avangard Omsk, but will instead stick with the Devils. The center registered 13 goals, 12 helpers and 99 shots in 61 appearances last season. The 22-year-old figures to be in a bottom-six role this year but could still challenge the 30-point mark.

Zacha could be headed to the KHL after agreeing to contract terms with Avangard Omsk, Igor Eronko of Sport-Express reports. Still, Devils general manager Ray Shero remains confident a deal can be worked out for the restricted free agent, telling reporters, "I think we can get something done, hopefully, but I can't control what he does. If (the KHL) is the route he likes, it's going to be a long road back to the NHL," Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha put up decent numbers last season, as he managed 13 goals and 12 helpers in 61 outings, but still had to spend some time in the minors. The 22-year-old will be hard pressed to secure top-six minutes, especially after the club drafted rookie phenom Jack Hughes with the No. 1 overall pick. If the sides can't work something out soon, look for Zacha to finalize his KHL deal.

Zacha earned a qualifying offer from New Jersey on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha set a new career-high in goals with 13 last season, and produced 25 points in 61 NHL games. The 22-year-old hasn't quite lived up to the hype of being a top-six draft pick in 2015, producing just 76 points. The Devils could be interested in re-signing Zacha to a long term deal, or could let him walk next year if his play isn't up to par with their expectations.

Zacha delivered a goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Florida. He finishes the season with 13 goals and 25 points in 61 games.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha set a new career high in goals, but his game has stagnated over the past three seasons, as he's finished with 24, 25 and 25 points. The sixth overall selection from the 2015 draft is a restricted free agent, and will most likely be back with the Devils next season despite his slow development.

Zacha potted a power-play goal and added an assist in Monday's win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
After a 16-game hiatus due to an upper-body injury, Zacha is heating up with four points in the last three games. With the game knotted 1-1 in the third period, Zacha unleashed a snipe that hit two posts before going into the net. He later assisted on an empty-net goal to secure the win. The Devils are hoping for more performances like this from the 21-year-old in the upcoming seasons.

Zacha picked up an assist in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old center has helpers in back-to-back games since returning to the ice from an upper-body injury that cost him a little over a month, but more importantly for New Jersey, Zacha put home the winner in the shootout, beating Darcy Kuemper through the five-hole after a shimmy in the slot got the goaltender to open up. The sixth overall pick in the 2015 draft has yet to consistently make an impact in the NHL, but performances like this are a reminder that Zacha still has tremendous talent and upside.

Zacha registered an assist in his return to the lineup against Boston on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha missed 16 games due to an upper-body issue, but was able to immediately get himself back on the scoresheet. The center will have seven contests, starting with Saturday's matchup with Arizona, to register another two points and reach the 20-point mark for a third consecutive season.

Zacha (upper body) will return to action Thursday evening against the Bruins, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha hasn't played since Feb. 15 against the Wild, so it may take him a bit to get settled back in -- especially with a fresh crop of forwards in the fold to account for injuries. The 21-year-old will look to build off the 11 goals and six assists that he's compiled over 53 games.

Zacha (upper body) won't be available for Tuesday's game against the Capitals, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zacha's latest lingering injury coupled with a substandard 0.35 points-per-game mark over four years of NHL service time has rendered him a bust in countless fantasy formats. Of course, even when healthy this season, the center's only taken 41.4 percent of his offensive shifts in the attacking zone, so there's not much hope that he can return and make an impact in 2018-19.
