Pascal Dupuis is hopeful that Pittsburgh will start finding the back of the net in Game 4 Friday night.
"We know that with the firepower we have on our team eventually they will go in," Dupuis said. "Hopefully that will be tomorrow because we need them." The Penguins have scored just two goals in three games versus Boston and if their offense doesn't kick into gear then he could be swept from the playoffs Dupuis and Sidney Crosby are tied for the team lead with seven goals during the 2013 postseason, but neither of them has found the back of the net in the series so far.

Pascal Dupuis has been a big bargain for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Dupuis comes with a $1.5 million cap hit and has seven goals and 10 points in 11 playoff contests. "I'm glad when people think I deserve more," Dupuis said. "That means I must be doing a good job." It also reinforces the fact that he'll get a big raise this summer. The problem from the Penguins' perspective is that the team is already close to the cap and will consequently have a tough time re-signing Dupuis.

There are 11 players with a shorthanded goal in the 2013 playoffs, but Pascal Dupuis is the only one with two.
One of his came in Game 4 on Wednesday. Milan Michalek also had one in a serious where PK units have been dangerous enough to encourage caution. Along with Dupuis, Michalek and Daniel Alfredsson (1G, 1A apiece) are tied for the lead in shorthanded points with two.

Pascal Dupuis is tied for the playoff lead with six goals entering Thursday night's action and unsurprisingly he doesn't have any on the power play.
He's played one second of man advantage time for the Penguins in the playoffs, which is the lowest on the team, but that isn't anything new for him as he averaged just 48 seconds of power-play time during the regular season. He has scored 20 of his 175 career regular-season goals when his team has been up a man. Oddly enough, he nearly has as many goals when his team is on the penalty kill (15) and he scored a shorthanded marker in Game 1 against Ottawa. The bulk of his goals come while skating five-on-five though. "He's been one of the best even-strength goal-scorers in the league for quite some time now," coach Dan Bylsma said. Of course this raises the question: why doesn't he get more power-play opportunities in the first place? It seems to work for the Penguins though, so don't expect them to change it.

Pascal Dupuis tallied two goals as the Penguins routed the Islanders 5-0 in the first game of their first-round series on Wednesday night.
The offensive onslaught was on for the Penguins in this one, and it began 3:30 in when rookie Beau Bennett scored on the power play. Dupuis, who had five goals against the Isles in the regular season, would follow 10 minutes later with his first, then scored 22 seconds after Kris Letang's marker early in the second period. Tanner Glass ended the scoring with his first career playoff goal. Evgeni Malkin, Jarome Iginla and Jussi Jokinen each had two assists apiece. The Isles caused the game to get a little chippy at the end, so fantasy owners get rewarded with 10 penalty minutes from Dupuis and Iginla. Douglas Murray also had 12 minutes. Pittsburgh played a little defense, too, with Mark Eaton recording a whopping eight blocked shots.

Pascal Dupuis scored a goal and had two assists during Thursday's 6-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
It was Dupuis' second three-goal effort in as many games. Despite Sidney Crosby's absence, Dupuis continues to produce at an astounding level. The goal on Thursday was his 20th of the season and it came in just his 41st game. Dupuis, slated for unrestricted free agency this summer, picked the right time for a career year.

Pascal Dupuis scored two goals for the Penguins in a 4-0 win over Winnipeg on Thursday night.
Dupuis now has an incredible 17 goals on the season in 35 games and is Exhibit A in the case for Sidney Crosby as the Hart Trophy winner this season. Chris Kunitz continued his fantastic season with a goal and an assist while Evgeni Malkin scored in his return to the lineup and Crosby dished out two helpers. Just another night at the office for the Pens.
