Lindblom may be left off the Opening Night roster, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not official yet -- and won't be until GM Ron Hextall announces his final two cuts -- but Lindblom reportedly lined up with the extras at practice Saturday, while Taylor Leier assumed a spot on the fourth line. Still, Lindblom possesses a great deal of long-term upside, having collected 47 points (22 goals, 25 assists) to complement a plus-16 rating in the competitive Swedish Hockey League last season, playing for Brynas IF Gavle. Especially if you have Lindblom in redraft leagues, this will be worth tracking to see how it all shakes out.

Lindblom skated alongside Claude Giroux and Travis Konecny at the teams first practice of training camp Friday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Dave Hakstol indicated that he and fellow rookie Nolan Patrick looked like they belonged in the top-six role and that Carchidi suggests it could be a sign of things to come and anticipates the 21-year-old will secure an Opening Night roster spot. The Swede totaled 47 points over 52 contests in his native country last season and could prove a sneaky late-round fantasy asset if he indeed forces his way into a top-six role this season.

Lindblom agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the Flyers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Since being selected in the fifth round (138th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Lindblom has been sharpening his skills through league play in his native Sweden. Last season with the SHL's Brynas IF, the 20-year-old posted new career highs with 22 goals and 25 assists in 52 regular-season games, while also adding 14 points in 20 postseason contests during Brynas' run to the SHL Finals. Lindblom is regarded as a strong offensive talent and is considered a favorite to make the team by Philadelphia beat writers once the Flyers open camp this fall.
