Pavelec saved 30 of 33 shots during Wednesday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first outing of the season for Pavelec, and the 29-year-old netminder could receive a fleeting run of starts with Winnipeg searching for answers between the pipes. However, after posting a .904 save percentage in 2015-16 and .904 mark over 169 games from 2011-12 through 2013-14, Pavelec likely isn't the answer for many fantasy clubs. Still, he shined just two years ago with a .920 save percentage and 2.28 GAA, so you'll want to keep tabs on the goaltending situation in Winnipeg. While you'll want to keep expectations in check, it also isn't out of the question to take a speculative flier on Pavelec in deep seasonal leagues if you need help at the position.

Pavelec will tend the twine for Wednesday's matchup with Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Pavelec was waived by the team prior to the start of the 2016-17 season and it appeared that his days with the Jets were coming to an end. However, with Connor Hellebuyck and Michael Hutchinson both struggling, coach Paul Maurice will turn back the clock and give Pavelec the chance to earn his way back into the crease. For now, Winnipeg will carry all three netminders, but fantasy owners should probably consider Michael Hutchinson the odd man out.

Pavelec was recalled from AHL Manitoba on Tuesday, Sara Orlesky of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Goaltending has been the Achilles' heel for the Jets, who have lost four straight games and rank sixth in the Central Division. Connor Hellebuyck ranks 33rd in the league with a 2.82 GAA and Michael Hutchinson is second-to-last among qualified netminders at 3.23. So, despite his placement on waivers ahead of the season, it's looking like Pavelec will have a chance for redemption. The 29-year-old has gone 8-7-2 with a 2.78 GAA and .917 save mark in 18 AHL games, marking his first taste of minor-league action since he was with the Chicago Wolves for one game in 2010-11.

Pavelec was placed on waivers for the purpose of reassignment Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Pavelec, if unclaimed, will report to AHL Manitoba which seems likely considering his $3.9 million cap hit. The 29-year-old's reassignment is due to the emergence of fellow netminder Connor Hellebuyck who should have the inside track on the starting job. Barring injuries to the other goalies, Pavelec may have played his last game in a Jets jersey as he is scheduled to be a free agent following the conclusion of the 2016-17 season.

Pavelec was limited to 33 games in 2015-16, posting a 13-13-4 record to go along with a 2.78 GAA and a .904 save percentage.
EDGE Analysis
While the 28-year-old netminder has never played on a great team, he has only eclipsed the .910 save percentage mark twice (2010-11 and 2014-15). In a perfect world, the Jets would move Pavelec this offseason to then carry the cheaper Michael Hutchinson and the promising Connor Hellebuyck as their goaltending duo. However, with Pavelec carrying a $3.9 million cap hit for one more season, it will be difficult to find a taker on the market. Regardless if he's moved or not, Pavelec's status as Winnipeg's No. 1 goaltender is in flux entering the 2016-17 season.

Pavelec stopped 26 of 29 shots in Saturday's shootout win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Los Angeles had a chance to secure the division title, but Pavelec stood tall for his third consecutive win. The 28-year-old finishes the season with a 13-13-4 record and a .904 save percentage. Pavelec had a tough year overall, but he ended on a high note and may end up being part of the reason the Kings don't finish first in the Pacific Division.

Pavelec led his team out on the ice for pregame warmups Saturday, indicating that he'll start the regular-season finale against the Kings, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Michael Hutchinson was originally expected to start, but according to a separate report, he has the flu and will be relegated to backup duty. Neither goalie is a recommended play anyway against a tough Kings team bound to come out firing in their quest for their first division title in the past 25 years.

Pavelec nabbed a win over the Sharks on Thursday night, but it wasn't pretty as he surrendered four goals on 25 shots.
EDGE Analysis
Interestingly enough, goalie counterpart Martin Jones had the same number of saves as Pavelec, but he surrendered one more goal than the Jets tender. While It's great to know that Pavelec has been healthy since a knee injury wiped out 33 games from his campaign, he hasn't inspired much confidence based on a 2.78 GAA and .904 save percentage.

Pavelec will start Thursday's road tilt in San Jose, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old netminder is coming off of an impressive performance in his last start, a 5-1 victory over Minnesota on Sunday. While Pavelec has struggled on the whole this year (2.74 GAA, .906 save percentage), he could carry the momentum from his last start into San Jose on Thursday night. The Sharks are a team that have clinched a playoff spot and sit on 96 points as they enter Thursday's game, but own a home record of just 17-19-3.

Pavelec denied 28 of 29 shots in Sunday's win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Pavelec was working on a shutout until midway through the final frame, but he and the Jets still easily cruised to a 5-1 win. The 28-year-old has mostly been inconsistent when called upon though, so it may be difficult to place too much trust in him if he's given the starting nod in any of the club's final three games, all of which come on the road against playoff teams.
