Robertson sure looks like he's here to stay with two goals and an assist through three contests. Over the previous two years' he recorded just two points in 16 outings. The 21-year-old winger has added seven shots on net, four hits, three blocked shots and a plus-1 rating while working on the Maple Leafs' second line. He's worth a look in fantasy formats that focus on point production.

Robertson scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime, in a 3-2 win over Dallas on Thursday.

Robertson made the most of his time in the top six. He skated 14:24 with 1:45 on the power play. His first goal put the Leafs up 2-1 early in the third period. He took a pass from Michael Bunting and wired it past Scott Wedgewood from the slot. Then Robertson teamed with Auston Matthews and Morgan Rielly on a three-on-one in overtime and one-timed a dish from Matthews at the right face-off dot to seal the win. It was his season debut and he faced off against his brother, Jason Robertson.

Robertson will skate with John Tavares and William Nylander on the second line, reports Jonas Siegel of The Athletic, and he'll join the second power-play unit.

He bumps Denis Malgin off the second line and likely pushes Rasmus Sandin off the power play. Robertson is a skilled winger that needs top-six time to try to show the team he deserves to stick in the NHL. He performed well in training camp, but he didn't get the tap on the shoulder. Now, Robertson gets his chance to help the squad and fantasy managers, too.

Robertson was a standout performer for the Leafs during the preseason, but had to start the year in the AHL because of cap constraints and a lack of roster flexibility. Toronto gained some room to work with Saturday when Matt Murray (adductor) went on LTIR. He picked up one goal and one assist in two games with the Marlies prior to being brought up to the big club. Robertson should get a chance to show he belongs in the NHL.

Robertson was a standout performer during training camp, but got caught in a numbers game with Toronto tight against the salary cap. According to David Alter of Sports Illustrated, Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said Monday that Robertson didn't get a roster spot because Denis Malgin would need to clear waivers to be sent down and Robertson is exempt.

Robertson has seven preseason points, tied with Matt Duchene and Timo Meier for the NHL preseason lead.

Robertson has thrived because of his incredible shot. Rocket Richard winning teammate, Auston Matthews says "... he probably shoots it harder than anybody on the team." Heady praise. Coach Sheldon Keefe has also been impressed, saying these preseason games "are the best I've seen Nick look in a Leafs jersey." Robertson has not secured an NHL role this season and may still end up in the AHL. But his game is improving and that's what the team and dynasty managers want to see.

Robertson was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Wednesday, per CapFriendly.

Robertson logged 12:36 of ice time with two shots on goal and two PIM on Tuesday versus the Red Wings. It's unclear if the 20-year-old will be a factor for the Maple Leafs in their last game of the regular season Friday versus the Bruins or in the playoffs.
