Smith will get the start at home against the Capitals on Saturday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith will be back in goal after getting chased from the net by the Penguins on Thursday. The netminder allowed six goals on 21 shots for an abysmal 12.41 GAA and .714 save percentage. It was the fifth time this season the Ontario native allowed four or more goals to find the back of the net. Facing off with the Capitals, who are sporting leagues second most potent offense (3.89 goals per game) won't make Smith's chances of shaking off his bad start any easier.

Smith will rock the home cage Thursday for a battle with the Penguins, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith should be well-rested, as the Flames went with David Rittich on a two-game road trip that concluded in Montreal on Tuesday. The veteran will face a Penguins team that's averaging 3.71 goals per contest this season, good for third in the NHL.

Smith will get the home starting nod against the Predators on Friday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith is 3-2-0 to start the season, but is sporting a 3.23 GAA, which would be the worst of his NHL career if it carried through the year. Despite a somewhat lackluster offense (3.17 goals per game) the Predators have just one loss so far, with Smith the next goalie up to face the potential President's Trophy contenders.

Smith made 24 saves Wednesday and helped the Flames defeat Boston 5-2.
EDGE Analysis
In five starts, Smith is 3-2 but has posted a sub-.900 save percentage along the way. It's early and wins matter more than anything so one shouldn't criticize Smith's performance too much, but the 36-year-old netminder certainly benefitted from his team's offensive outburst Wednesday. Nonetheless, this was a solid bounce-back game after Smith's last start saw him concede five goals on just 24 shots. Expect him to be between the pipes Friday when the Predators come to town.

Smith will guard the cage in Wednesday's home game against the Bruins, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith struggled in his last start Thursday against St. Louis, surrendering five goals on 24 shots before being replaced by David Rittich for the final frame of the eventual 5-3 defeat. The veteran netminder will look to bounce back and pick up his third victory of the campaign in a tough home matchup with a Bruins team that's averaging 4.40 goals per game this season, third in the NHL.

Smith allowed five goals on 24 shots during Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Smith followed up his spectacular 43-save shutout against the Predators on Thursday with a dud. He allowed five goals through two periods and was replaced by David Rittich when the third period commenced. Smith's next chance to slot in will be Saturday against the Avalanche.

Smith will tend the twine for Thursday's road clash with St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
On Tuesday, the plan was for David Rittich to start Thursday's matchup with the Blues, but after Smith posted a 43-save shutout, it appears coach Bill Peters wants to let the veteran continue rolling. The Ontario native will be looking for a third consecutive win versus a St. Louis squad that is averaging 2.50 goals -- albeit through just two games.

Smith will guard the cage on the road versus the Predators on Tuesday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has given up four goals in each of his first two outings and could struggle against a Nashville squad that is averaging 3.50 goals. The netminder hasn't faced a heavy workload either, as the Flames have allowed just 21.5 shots per game -- second fewest in the league.

Smith allowed four goals on 20 shots in a 7-4 victory over the Canucks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Although he received the win, Smith has probably seen enough of the Canucks for awhile. Smith yielded four goals in each of the first two games of 2018-19, both of which came against the Canucks. Not the way owners wanted to see Smith start the season, especially with a pretty tough road trip on tap for the veteran netminder next week.

Smith will start between the pipes in Saturday's home game against the Canucks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was shaky during his season debut in Vancouver on Wednesday, surrendering four goals on 22 shots en route to a 5-2 loss. The veteran netminder will be tasked with facing the same opponent Saturday, but this time he'll have the luxury of home-ice advantage.
