He's topped the 20-goal mark just twice in his career, but he's exceeded 30 assists on nine occasions, so Granlund is an option for fantasy managers who need assists or power-play help.

Granlund's large role and power-play time make him a viable option for fantasy managers in deeper formats in need of a playmaker.

The Finn should be a regular in the top six and on the power play throughout 2024-25.

Granlund (lower body) was back at practice Sunday after skipping Friday's skate, according to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

EDGE Analysis

Granlund could play in at least one of San Jose's final three exhibition outings before Opening Night on Oct. 10 versus the Blues. He accounted for 12 goals and 60 points across 69 regular-season appearances in 2023-24. Granlund is expected to occupy a top-six role and could play on the top power-play unit.
