Tkachuk notched one goal and one power-play assist in Florida's 4-3 win over Buffalo on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk has two goals and three points through two games with the Panthers. He was acquired from Calgary in the offseason in a trade that sent Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar to the Flames. Tkachuk has been skating alongside Sam Bennett and Rudolfs Balcers at even strength this year. He has also been seeing time on the top power-play unit, which grants him valuable exposure to Aleksander Barkov.

Tkachuk scored a goal, leading the Panthers to a 3-1 win over the Coyotes on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk was active Thursday, generating 15 shot attempts (four on goal). In his first game with the Panthers, Tkachuk finally broke through with 1:15 remaining in the third period, sealing the season-opening victory. The 2016 first-round draft selection broke out with a 42-goal, 104-point campaign with the Flames last season. Now, as a member of the high-scoring Panthers, Tkachuk could challenge to top his career highs.

Tkachuk (hand) is on the Panthers' training camp roster.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk dealt with a hand injury during the Flames' playoff run last season, but it was never expected to interrupt his preparation for 2022-23. The 24-year-old heads into his first year with the Panthers coming off of a 104-point campaign. Tkachuk is expected to form a top-line partnership with Aleksander Barkov while also seeing first-unit minutes on the power play.

Tkachuk (hand) was traded from Calgary to Florida in exchange for Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt and a first-round pick Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Tkachuk then signed an eight-year, $9.5 million AAV extension with the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
After a terrific 104-point campaign, Tkachuk entered the 2022 offseason as a restricted free agent that was looking to find a new home. The Panthers gave up a massive haul to acquire him, including 115-point winger Huberdeau. Tkachuk should immediately slot into Florida's top line alongside Aleksander Barkov while also seeing a healthy amount of power-play time. Prior to last season, the 24-year-old had never eclipsed the 80-point threshold and had just one 30-goal season (34 goals and 77 points in 2018-19).

Tkachuk (hand) has notified the Flames that he will not sign a long-term deal in Calgary, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Also, he hasn't formally requested a trade but has given a list of teams he'd be willing to sign with after the 2022-23 season (Dallas, Nashville, Vegas, St. Louis and Florida), per The Athletic.
EDGE Analysis
The team has already initiated the arbitration process with Tkachuk, so it sounds like he'll spend one more season at most in Calgary before becoming an unrestricted free agent. He's likely to be traded well before then, but no matter the return the Flames might get for the 24-year-old, this is a tough bit of news for fans after fellow star forward Johnny Gaudreau departed earlier this month to Columbus in free agency.

Tkachuk (hand) would be open to signing a long-term contract to stay in Calgary, reports NHL.com.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk is a restricted free agent after coming to the end of a three-year, $21 million deal ($7 million AAV). "Absolutely. I've loved it here," said Tkachuk. "I've grown up here." He also has the option of inking a one-year deal to get him to unrestricted status in 2023. Tkachuk is coming off a 104-point season (42 goals, 62 assists), which was second on the Flames to linemate Johnny Gaudreau, and his AAV will likely hit the $10 million mark.

Tkachuk was nursing a hand injury during the playoffs, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk was involved in a few fights early in the first round, which may have been when he picked up the injury. The winger still managed 10 points in 12 playoff contests, but he was silenced in the last three games of the second round. The 24-year-old is a pending restricted free agent looking to cash in big after a 42-goal, 104-point regular season. It's unlikely his hand injury will linger throughout the offseason and it won't require surgery.

Tkachuk posted an assist, four hits, two shots on goal and two PIM in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk helped out on a Michael Stone tally in the first period. The helper extended Tkachuk's point streak to four games (four goals, three helpers). He's been involved in both scoring and agitating, though he hasn't been overly physical in the playoffs. The 24-year-old winger is at 10 points, 26 shots, 10 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-2 rating through nine postseason contests.

Tkachuk scored three goals on eight shots and added four PIM in Wednesday's 9-6 win over the Oilers in Game 1.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk scored three of the Flames' last four goals. His first, a power-play tally in the second period, made it 6-2 before the Oilers scored four straight. In the third, Tkachuk capitalized on a turnover for his second tally and added an empty-netter. That'll suffice to erase his slow start the playoffs -- he's at four goals, five assists, 24 shots, 18 PIM and a minus-1 rating through eight appearances.

Tkachuk scored a goal on six shots and added an assist in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Stars in Game 7.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk tied the game at 2-2 in the second period, with that being his first goal of the series. He added a secondary helper as Johnny Gaudreau cashed in the game-winner 15:09 into overtime. Fantasy managers will hope Sunday's outing ignites a bit more offense for Tkachuk, who had six points with 16 shots on net, 14 PIM, six hits and a minus-2 rating in the seven-game series.
