Murray surrendered three goals on 31 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Murray would probably want the second goal back, as Gabriel Landeskog beat him with a one-hop dump-in late in the second period. Otherwise, it was a solid showing against a dangerous offense for the 25-year-old goalie. He improved to 13-6-4 with a 2.91 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 25 starts. Murray has won his last three games despite allowing nine goals in that span. Tristan Jarry will still likely get Sunday's start in Arizona.

Murray will defend the net Friday in Denver versus the Avalanche, Josh Getzoff of PensTV reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray showed some promise in his last outing, stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced to pick up his 12th win of the season, but the fifth-year netminder has fallen clearly behind Tristan Jarry in the pecking order for starts. He gets a tough one in his return to the crease, taking on a Colorado club averaging a whopping 3.90 goals per game on home ice.

Murray made 26 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over Montreal on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Murray has actually won his last two starts. But it's the first time he's allow just two or fewer goals since Nov. 15 (eight starts). Murray is now playing second fiddle to Tristan Jarry. He could be a decent spot starter if he can carry Saturday's solid performance forward.

Murray will be between the pipes on the road versus Montreal on Saturday, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray will take the first game of a Pens' back-to-back since Nov. 21 versus the Islanders. Despite some signs of improvement, the Thunder Bay native has still posted a 4.37 GAA and .847 save percentage in his last five outings. At this point, it's pretty clear that Murray has lost the starting job in the Steel City considering he made just three appearances in 12 December matchups. Casey DeSmith will be recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to serve as Murray's backup Saturday, allowing Tristan Jarry to remain in Pittsburgh and prepare for Sunday's clash with Florida.

Murray made 44 saves in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
It was just his second victory since Nov. 9. The game was much closer than the score indicates -- it was tied 4-4 until the 18:57 mark of the third period. Murray has been riding the pine with Tristan Jarry's emergence as a legitimate starter, so this is a great step to help him regain some confidence.

Murray will guard the home net in Saturday's matchup against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Murray's third start of December, as Tristan Jarry has taken over as the No. 1 with eight starts in the month. Murray has struggled brutally this season, as he's posted a 1-3-3 record and an .848 save percentage since Nov. 12. He'll look to turn things around on the second half of back-to-back games. The Predators have averaged 4.3 goals per game over their last six outings.

Murray let in four goals on only 14 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
The team in front of Murray did little to help him, as an extended Canucks power-play situation led to the first two goals. The 25-year-old dropped to 10-6-4 with a 2.91 GAA and an .892 save percentage. He's been supplanted by Tristan Jarry as the top goalie for the Penguins -- expect Jarry to get the nod Friday in the first game of a home-and-home set with the Predators.

Murray will start Saturday's road game against the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Tristan Jarry played Friday, making 26 saves in a 5-2 win over the Oilers, so Murray gets the start in Vancouver. The two-time Stanley Cup champion has only one win since Nov. 12, going 1-2-3 with a .284 GAA and .858 save percentage across his last seven appearances. The Canucks have lost three of four but defeated the Golden Knights 5-4 in overtime Dec. 19.

Murray made 25 saves in a 5-3 win over Detroit on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
It was Murray's first win since Nov. 9. Yes, he has struggled. And yes, Tristan Jarry has been a better play in the blue paint. But Murray is still a Stanley Cup winner who's athletic, controls rebounds well and has an elite glove. Give him time.

Murray will start Saturday's game versus the Red Wings, Josh Getzoff of PensTV reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray will be attempting to snap a losing streak that's seen him post a 0-2-3 record in his last six appearances. His last victory came back on Nov.9, but a matchup with the lowly Red Wings could be just what Murray needs to get back in the win column.
