The Lightning will look to improve consistency in nets this season with the signing of Dwayne Roloson along with Mathieu Garon, who is one of the top backups in the league. Garon agreed to a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning this summer and will enter the 2010-11 season as Dwayne Roloson's backup. Garon is use to the backup role at this point in his career, but still ended up playing in 35 and 36 games in his last two seasons with Columbus. Rollie and Garon have worked together before with the Oilers and have developed a good chemistry. They could definitely be a good tandem in Tampa Bay this season. Garon should start about 25 games this season barring an injury to the 43-year-old starter. Garon is nothing more than a handcuff for Roloson owners.

Mathieu Garon is fine with however much playing time he ends up getting with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Garon will enter the 2010-11 season as Dwayne Roloson's understudy. Garon is use to the backup role at this point, but he ended up playing in 35 and 36 games in his last two seasons with Columbus. He might not get quite as much playing time in 2011-12. "Like I said, it doesn't matter how many games I play, I just want to play good, and if I don't play much, it's probably because (Roloson) is playing great," Garon said. "So I just want to win and we'll see what happens."
