Marty Turco will start against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. It will be Turco's first start with the Boston Bruins. He turned aside 20 of 22 shots in Sunday's game after Tim Thomas was yanked.

Turco signed a one-year, $600,000 contract with the Bruins following word on Rask's injury. He will not be eligible to play in the playoffs.

With goaltender Antero Niittymaki out until at least December, the San Jose Sharks might be interested in unrestricted free agent Marty Turco. Turco inked a one-year contract with the Blackhawks last season to serve as their starting goaltender. However, Corey Crawford ended up stealing the job from Turco and the veteran netminder went unsigned this summer. It's been a while since Turco has been a member of the upper echelon of hockey goaltenders, but he could still be a serviceable backup behind Antti Niemi. Right now, this is just speculation, but we'll let you know if the Sharks or anyone else signs Turco.
