Necas scored a power-play goal on three shots and added an assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Necas extended his point streak to four games, and he's picked up three goals and two assists in that span. The return of Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) Saturday has the potential to impact Necas' role, but it won't right away, as the latter stayed on the top line. Necas has 12 goals, 16 helpers, eight power-play points, 83 shots on goal and a plus-2 rating through 25 appearances, putting him on track for a big career year.

Necas scored a goal on five shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Necas has been lighting it up of late with four goals in his last seven contests along with 28 shots and two assists. The 23-year-old Czech needs just five more goals to match the career high he set back in 2019-20 during his rookie campaign. Considering his first-line role, getting to that mark should be relatively easy for Necas at this point.

Necas recorded an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Necas had just one point in a game for the first time since Nov. 3. He posted three multi-point outings and four goose eggs in the seven games in between. The 23-year-old's lack of consistency in November is a little concerning, but he's looked very good in a top-six role this year. He has eight tallies, 14 helpers, 57 shots, 16 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 18 appearances. As long as Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) is on injured reserve, Necas should have a clear path to top-line minutes.

Necas registered two shots during Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Necas, who produced at least one point in 10 of his opening 11 outings, is enduring his season's first mini-slump. The 23-year-old center may have five points during his past five games, but three came during a Nov. 4 outburst against the Sabres and the other two developed against the Oilers on Thursday. Skating in the other three contests, Necas, who leads the Hurricanes with 19 points, is scoreless with a combined rating of minus-5.

Necas had two assists in a 7-2 victory over Edmonton on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The points were his first in three games, but he still has 19 (seven goals, 12 assists) in 14 games to lead the Hurricanes in scoring. Necas is taking the giant leap forward that patient dynasty and keeper managers have touted for a while. And that step is in part based on a pretty big jump in shots -- he has 44 in 14 games, which is well ahead of his 159 in 78 last season.

Necas scored a goal on four shots, supplied two assists and added three hits in Friday's 5-3 win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
One of Necas' assists came on the power play. The 23-year-old extended his point streak to six games (four goals, six helpers), and he's earned three multi-point outings in that span. It's been a brilliant start to the year for one of the Hurricanes' young stars, as he now has seven tallies, 10 assists, 34 shots, nine hits, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating in 11 contests.

Necas produced two assists, including one on the power play, fired four shots on goal and added two PIM in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Necas helped out on goals by Stefan Noesen and Andrei Svechnikov in this contest. The two-point effort gave Necas a four-game point streak (two goals, four helpers). The 23-year-old continues to look strong on the second line. He's earned 13 points (three on the power play) with 26 shots on net, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating through nine outings this season. Considering he produced only four of his 40 points with the man advantage last season, he's already off to a much better start in 2022-23.

Necas scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Necas is next level right now. He has five goals and leads the Canes with 11 points in eight games. He had 40 points (14 goals, 26 assists) in 78 games last season. "He's been arguably our best player," said coach Rod Brind'Amour after the game. "He's on the score sheet every night, and he's certainly a factor."

Necas scored a goal during a 6-2 defeat to the Islanders on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Necas, the 2017 first-round draft choice, continues chasing his first 20-goal campaign. During his previous three seasons, Necas scored 16 goals, 14 and 14 again. If he stays on his early-season pace, Necas could soar past 20 tallies in a hurry and climb toward the 30-goal plateau. Necas signed a two-year contract extension during the offseason. Will it prove to be a cunning investment? Necas has four goals among nine points in seven outings this season.

Necas recorded a power-play assist in Monday's 3-2 win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Necas was held off the scoresheet for the first time this year in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Flames. The 23-year-old bounced back by setting up Andrei Svechnikov's first-period tally Monday. Necas has impressed with three goals, five assists, 15 shots on net, six PIM and a plus-2 rating in six contests. Just two of his points have come on the power play, so this offense looks fairly sustainable.
