Stone (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, per CapFriendly.
EDGE Analysis
Stone has already missed two games with the injury, and he was labeled as somewhere between day-to-day and week-to-week. His placement on injured reserve essentially assures he won't play Sunday against the Islanders, but the winger would be eligible to return as soon as Tuesday versus the Avalanche if his move to IR was dated retroactively.

Stone (lower body) will not require surgery and was labeled between day-to-day and week-to-week by coach Pete DeBoer, Steve Carp of VegasHockeyNow reports.
EDGE Analysis
Based on that vague timeline, Stone shouldn't be expected to play in Wednesday's matchup with the Blues but could be back any time after that. Prior to getting hurt, the 29-year-old winger was rolling with three assists in two games, though he had yet to register a shot on goal. With Max Pacioretty (lower body) also unavailable, Jonathan Marchessault will be tasked with carrying the mail offensively for the Golden Knights.

Stone will meet with doctors Monday to determine the severity of his lower-body injury, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone's injury is just the latest blow for the Golden Knights who have no less than seven forwards dealing with some time of injury/illness right now. At this point, Stone should probably be considered doubtful to play in Wednesday's clash with St. Louis until the team provides more specifics.

Stone (lower body) is day-to-day and is being evaluated further.
EDGE Analysis
Thankfully for Stone, the team doesn't play again until Wednesday against visiting St. Louis, so he'll have more time than usual to heal after suffering the injury Thursday against the Kings. Look for further clarity regarding his status prior to Wednesday's puck drop.

Stone (lower body) was injured in the second period of Thursday's game versus the Kings, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The star winger needed help to get to the locker room after he was hurt in the middle of the second period. Stone is one of the most essential players on the Golden Knights' roster, so fantasy managers will be holding their breath awaiting word on his status going forward. The Golden Knights don't play again until Wednesday versus the Blues -- it's possible he'll have time to heal without missing a game if the injury is minor.

Stone recored three assists, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Kraken.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old has reached 40 assists in each of the last four years, and he got a jump-start to making it five straight seasons Tuesday. Stone had assists on both of Max Pacioretty's goals as well as Chandler Stephenson's game-winner as the Golden Knights' top-line trio combined for eight points in the contest. Stone has established a 60-point floor, and he's off to a great start to 2021-22. Fantasy managers likely needed a third- or fourth-round pick to roster him this year, and he looks like a safe bet to be worth the investment while playing in a top-line role.

Stone (head) is practicing Tuesday and "appears to be fine," Steve Carp of VegasHockeyNow.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone exited Sunday's preseason game versus the Sharks after taking a puck to the ear, but it looks like he escaped that contest without suffering a significant injury. Stone won't play in Tuesday's preseason matchup with Colorado, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to Vegas' lineup for Thursday's preseason game versus LA.

Stone left Sunday's preseason game against the Sharks after taking a puck to the ear in the first period and won't return, David Schoen of The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of Stone's injury is not yet known, as it's entirely possible that his exit was precautionary. He lay down on the ice in the immediate aftermath of getting hit by the puck but went to the locker room under his own power. The Golden Knights will likely deliver an update on his injury prior to Tuesday's preseason game against Colorado.

Stone scored the game-winning goal on his only shot in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 5.
EDGE Analysis
Stone started the sequence with a blocked shot -- one of his three in the game -- and finished it off with a snap shot to the top corner while on a partial breakaway just 50 seconds into the extra session. The overtime tally gave the Golden Knights a 3-2 series lead and snapped Stone's personal six-game goal-scoring drought. He has five goals and three assists in 12 playoff contests entering Game 6 on Thursday.

Stone recorded an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 4.
EDGE Analysis
Stone has picked up assists in each of the last two games. The 29-year-old winger has produced seven points, 23 shots on net, 22 hits and a plus-3 rating through 11 playoff contests. With linemate Max Pacioretty on a five-game point streak, Stone's own struggles on offense should come to a close soon.
