Giordano's fearless ways helped the Leafs put an end to the Devils' 13-game winning streak. Unfortunately, he's not doing much for fantasy managers offensively, as his 0.6 points per 60 minutes represents a career low through 15 years of service time.

Giordano logged more than 20 minutes of ice time in Monday's 3-2 loss to Arizona.

He hasn't hit the score sheet much -- he has one assist, four shots and a plus-3 rating in four games. But Giordano's ice time is increasing and will help stabilize the blue line for a team missing Jake Muzzin (neck). That extra ice time 5v5 may result in less time on the second power-play unit, though, and that would bump down his fantasy value.

Giordano signed a two-year, $1.6 million deal with Toronto on Sunday.

After spending 15 years with the Flames, Giordano suited up for Seattle and Toronto this season, totaling eight goals and 35 points while averaging 20:53 of ice time through 75 games. He took a bit of a hometown discount to stay in Toronto as he prepares to enter his age-39 season. Giordano will likely quarterback the team's second power-play unit again next year while skating in a bottom-four role.

Giordano, who picked up two points in seven playoff games and is an unrestricted free agent, loved his time in Toronto and wants to "be on a team that I believe can win," reports TSN.ca.

He hopes to play a couple more years and the Leafs would love to have him, but on a hometown rate given their cap issues. Giordano was a solidifying presence on the Leafs' back end upon his arrival and with the team in a win-now window, he could be part of their future.

Giordano set up Mitch Marner's first-period tally. With a goal and five helpers in his last six games, Giordano has started to settle in nicely with the Maple Leafs. The 38-year-old defenseman has picked up 32 points, 143 shots on net, 124 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating in 69 appearances between the Leafs and the Kraken this season. He's seen a smaller role with the Maple Leafs, but their stronger offense as a team has helped revive his production.

Giordano scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in a 5-4 overtime win over Ottawa on Saturday.

It seems Giordano is on the trading block as the team holds him out of action in order to prevent him from picking up an injury. The blueliner is in the final year of a six-year, $40.5 million contract signed back in August of 2015, making him a prime rental option for playoff teams. Wherever Giordano ends up, he should be in contention to link up with the No. 1 power-play unit and remains a top-half fantasy target.
