The New York Islanders have activated defenseman Mark Eaton, who had been sidelined with a sprained MCL, from injured reserve. He will make his return to the club's lineup on Thursday night against the Rangers. Eaton had been out of action since going down to injury on Nov. 21.

Mark Eaton (sprained MCL) will miss Saturday's contest. Eaton hasn't played since November 21st. He was initially expected to miss six weeks, so the fact that he's even close to returning at this point is impressive.

Mark Eaton (sprained MCL) might return as early as Saturday. Eaton wasn't expected to return until the end of 2011 or January, so it'd be a pleasant surprise if he plays Saturday. He has an assist in 16 games this season.

Mark Eaton has been skating the past few days by himself as he continues to recover from a knee injury. He isn't ready to return to practices just yet, but he appears to be progressing from a sprained MCL. Eaton has been sidelined since Nov. 21.

To little surprise, the New York Islanders placed Mark Eaton (knee) on reserve. They then recalled Micheal Haley to fill a hole in the lineup. Eaton showed flashes of offensive upside here and there when he was a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, but his ceiling is much lower in Long Island. He's expected to miss about six weeks with that sprained MCL. Haley is good for the occasional PIM fix, but that's about it.

Mark Eaton suffered a sprained MCL on Monday and is out of action for six weeks. The defensive defenseman suffered the injury against Pittsburgh on Monday. Eaton has only one assist in 16 games but his 31 blocked shots give him a tad of fantasy value in deep, deep, pools.

Mark Eaton (hip) is on the Islanders' active roster after passing his physical. Eaton played in just 34 games last season before he underwent season-ending hip surgery. He isn't expected to have any fantasy value.
