Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant said he never considered pulling Fleury, who ultimately surrendered six goals on 23 shots to the Capitals in Game 4 on Monday, the Las Vegas-Review Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
"No. I think at least five of the six goals were wide-open nets," Gallant said. "There was nothing he could have done." While Fleury's struggles extend beyond the last game -- he's allowed 12 goals in the past three (all losses) -- Vegas is highly unlikely to pivot away from the man who compiled an immaculate 12-3 record, 1.68 GAA and .947 save percentage in the first three rounds against the Kings, Sharks and Jets, respectively. The incredible expansion team had been consistently defying the odds this season, but it'll need to find its scoring touch in a big way in order to climb back from a 3-1 series deficit and lay claim to the Stanley Cup.

Fleury conceded six goals on 23 shots Monday, taking a 6-2 defeat against the Capitals in Game 4.
EDGE Analysis
In fairness to Fleury, three of Washington's six goals came on the power play, including a 5-on-3 at the end. But even with that qualifier, Flower was powerless to stop the Capitals' attack despite the low number of shots. A save percentage of .739 isn't anywhere close to getting the job done, and Fleury will have to rediscover the form he showed in the Western Conference playoffs if the Golden Knights are going to get back in this series in Game 5.

Fleury will defend the cage against the Capitals for Monday's Game 4 meeting, J.J. Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury has been less than stellar during the Stanley Cup Finals, as he posted a 3.42 GAA and .875 save percentage. That's a far cry from the Flower's 1.68 GAA during the first three rounds of the playoffs. With Game 4 essentially a must win for Vegas, the club is going to need the veteran to be near perfect in order to avoid a 3-1 series deficit.

Fleury is not dwelling on his relative struggles (.870 save percentage) in the Stanley Cup Finals as he prepares for Game 3 in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Watch closely and you will notice that Fleury rubs the post whenever the puck screams off the iron to spare him a goal allowed. However, he's cited some "unfortunate bounces" in the Cup finals as the reason why he hasn't quite looked himself. Still, the veteran puck plugger has gone 13-4 in these playoffs to complement a 1.88 GAA and .939 save percentage. If Flower isn't worried about Flower, it should be no different for those of you starting him in DFS or playoff contests.

Fleury stopped 23 of 26 shots Wednesday, but his team's five-game winning streak was snapped as Washington claimed a 3-2 win in Game 2.
EDGE Analysis
Flower has been nothing short of fantastic in the first three rounds of the playoffs, but he hasn't been up to that standard so far against the Capitals. With 47 saves on 54 shots, he's sporting an .870 save percentage in the Stanley Cup Final, a number that isn't going to win a lot of hockey games, let alone the Conn Smythe Trophy. That said, Fleury has shown an ability to bounce back from off-nights and the next two games are in Washington, where the netminder has known a lot of playoff success from his days in Pittsburgh.

Fleury is expected in goal against the Capitals for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday, NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flower's designation as the start shouldn't catch anyone by surprise, even though he allowed four goals on 28 shots to open the Cup finals. The ex-Penguin has crafted a five-game winning streak and now has a golden opportunity to decimate Washington's chances of lifting the Stanley Cup. Fleury's 2018 playoff record stands at a ridiculous 13-3 mark to complement a 1.81 GAA and .942 save percentage, and he's made a habit of trending in a more favorable direction after yielding as many goals as he did in Game 1.

Fleury will tend the twine for Monday's Game 1 Stanley Cup Finals clash.
EDGE Analysis
If the Golden Knights end up lifting Lord Stanley's Cup, there is little doubt that Fleury will be the one taking home the Conn Smythe Trophy for the best player in the playoffs. The Flower won four games in a row with a 1.50 GAA versus a Jets squad that scored 3.33 goals per game in the regular season (second best in the league). Playing in the desert, the netminder is 6-1 with a .950 save percentage and will look to continue rolling in the Finals.

Fleury (undisclosed) is not dealing with an injury, despite skipping Wednesday's practice session, per Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
EDGE Analysis
Initial reports following Sunday's Game 5 clincher suggested Fleury may have been dealing with an injury, however, it appears the netminder is ready to go and is getting some much needed time off. At this point in the season, nearly every player is dealing with some sort of aches and pains, so it shouldn't come as a surprise the 32-year-old is resting up ahead of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Flower is 12-3 with a 1.68 GAA in the postseason and seems dialed in on his way to lifting Lord Stanley's chalice for a third consecutive time.

Fleury was spotted in the locker room with a noticeable limp following a 2-1 Game 5 victory over Winnipeg on Sunday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Once again, Fleury was a deciding factor in Winnipeg's elimination, as he stopped 31 of 32 shots on goal which was his fourth straight game with a save percentage of .940 or higher. The flower is also sporting an impressive 1.72 GAA for the 14 playoff games he's started, and has remained one of the big reason Vegas was able to secure a Stanley Cup birth in its inaugural season. However, Fleury has now played in 56 of the last 67 games and fatigue might be starting to factor into his play, but it certainly hasn't been noticeable as of yet. The 33-year-old also said that he'll be fine before the Stanley Cup Final kicks off, but his situation is still worth monitoring in case of a negative setback going forward.

Fleury will get the starting nod for Sunday's Game 5 showdown in Winnipeg, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
No surprise here as Fleury has been dominant all postseason long. He has started all 14 playoff contests for Vegas thus far, accumulating an 11-3-0 record with a spectacular .945 save percentage and 1.72 GAA. On top of that, he also has four shutouts. He'll look to close things out and send his Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup Finals.
