Fleury allowed four goals on 10 shots before being pulled from Saturday's 5-2 loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Pittsburgh jumped all over Fleury and the Blackhawks, firing four goals in the first 11:25 to chase the veteran netminder to the bench. Fleury has now given up four goals in each of his first two starts for Chicago, resulting in a miserable .826 save percentage. He should be able to right the ship before long, and he'll get his next chance as early as Tuesday against the Islanders.

Fleury will start Saturday's game in Pittsburgh, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury will cede the net to Kevin Lankinen on Friday and will then go up against his former team Saturday. He will look to bounce back from his poor season opener, when he allowed four goals on 36 shots in Colorado.

Fleury allowed four goals on 36 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
The Avalanche clicked right from the start while the Blackhawks sputtered early Wednesday, and Fleury let in three goals within the first 10 minutes. The 36-year-old took home his first career Vezina Trophy after posting a 1.98 GAA and a .928 save percentage in 36 games with the Golden Knights last year. As Wednesday proved, the Blackhawks' defense is not as sturdy as his old team was, so it's safe to assume Fleury will experience regression this year. He still figures to see a majority of the starts in a timeshare with Kevin Lankinen, and not every opponent will be as tough as the Avalanche. The Blackhawks' next game is Friday versus the Devils.

Fleury will patrol the road crease during Wednesday's season opener versus the Avalanche, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury was sensational last season, going 26-10-0 while posting a 1.98 GAA and a .928 save percentage en route to his first Vezina Trophy win, but the Golden Knights nonetheless opted to cut ties with the 36-year-old netminder this offseason, sending him to Chicago in a late-July trade that was essentially a cap dump for Vegas. Fleury will try to secure his first win as a Blackhawk in a road matchup with a Colorado club that will be without one of its best offensive weapons in Nathan MacKinnon (COVID-19).

Fleury will protect the home goal in Saturday's preseason finale versus the Wild, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury will make his third start of the preseason in the last exhibition game. The 36-year-old star is expected to handle a majority of the workload for the Blackhawks in 2021-22.

Fleury will be in goal for Monday's preseason matchup on the road against Detroit, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury has been limited to less than 50 games in each of the previous two seasons, in part due to the shortened nature of the campaign, but should be in contention to get back over the 50-game threshold this year, something he's done 10 times in his 17-year NHL career. Currently first among active players, the Flower would need 63 more wins to pass Patrick Roy for second place on the All-Time wins list.

Fleury will guard the cage for Friday's preseason home game versus St. Louis, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will be Fleury's first appearance between the pipes for his new club after being traded to Chicago from Vegas in the offseason. The defending Vezina Trophy winner figures to see the bulk of the starts when the regular season kicks off and could get back over the 30-win threshold for the first time since 2018-19.

Fleury has informed the Blackhawks that he will play in 2021-22, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Some speculated that Fleury may simply opt to retire rather than make the move to Chicago after being traded to the Blackhawks by the Golden Knights on Tuesday, but the veteran netminder evidently has decided to play out the final season of his three-year, $21 million contract. Fleury was exceptional in 2020-21, going 26-10-0 while posting a highly impressive 1.98 GAA and .928 save percentage. Kevin Lankinen will likely get 25-30 starts as Chicago's No. 2 option in 2021-22, but Fleury will undoubtedly see the bulk of the playing time as the Blackhawks' No. 1 netminder.

Fleury was traded to the Blackhawks from the Golden Knights in exchange for forward Mikael Hakkarainen on Tuesday, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not often that the reigning Vezina Trophy winner gets traded for scraps during the following offseason, but the Golden Knights are in desperate need of cap space, and getting Fleury's $7 million salary off the books will allow Vegas to make several more moves to round out its already championship-caliber roster. Fleury was unbelievable in 2020-21, going 26-10-0 while posting a highly impressive 1.98 GAA and .928 save percentage through 36 contests. As long as he decides not to retire, the veteran netminder's numbers will almost certainly dip behind Chicago's less-than-stellar defense next season, but he'll remain a desirable fantasy asset as the Blackhawks' No. 1 option in 2021-22. Youngster Kevin Lankinen should still get plenty of work as Chicago's No. 2 next year, but the bulk of the starts will undoubtedly go to Fleury, assuming he's in the fold.

Fleury was named the Vezina Trophy winner this year as the NHL's top goalie.
EDGE Analysis
While it was a shortened season, Fleury had his best statistical season. He posted a 1.98 GAA and a .928 save percentage in 36 appearances. The Quebec native also notched six shutouts and a 26-10-0 record as the Golden Knights' No. 1 goalie. Fleury also shared the Jennings Trophy, awarded to the goaltender(s) who give up the fewest team goals, with teammate Robin Lehner. This was Fleury's first Vezina win.
