Fleury was the first goalie off the ice during Wednesday's morning skate, making him the expected netminder for the evening's contest against the Rangers, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise if Fleury ends up in goal as expected, looking for back-to-back good starts following a couple stumbles. The team should officially confirm the goalie at some point later in the day, but Fleury appears the favorite in the clubhouse. The starting netminder would need to prepare for a Rangers club averaging 2.50 goals per game through four February contests, assuming he receives the call.

Fleury made 36 saves in a 6-2 romp over Anaheim on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
He faced a high number of shots but was not necessarily required to play his best hockey. Regardless, Fleury will likely use the outing as a confidence builder after he allowed four goals on 14 shots before being pulled Friday. The netminder avoided injury when Anaheim's Corey Perry ran into him, knocking Fleury's goalie mask from his head. The Flower suffered a concussion in December, so at the very least the situation is worth watching for the next couple days.

Fleury will hope to bounce back against Anaheim on Monday after getting the hook against Tampa, reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite winning four of his last five contests, Fleury has struggled to keep pucks out of the net, as he's logged a 3.57 GAA and .873 save percentage over that span. The netminder will look to get back on track after getting pulled on and then riding the pine in favor of backup Jeff Zatkoff. In his previous matchup with the Ducks, the 31-year-old stopped 23 of 25 shots on goal, but failed to get the victory.

Backup Jeff Zatkoff will start for the Penguins on Saturday against the Panthers, DK on Pittsburgh Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury wanted to redeem himself following Friday's fiasco but coach Mike Sullivan decided to instead go with Zatkoff. The Flower will likely get the nod Monday at home against the Ducks.

Fleury voiced his interest in starting against the Panthers after getting yanked Friday, but with no Saturday morning skate it's unknown whether the team will go with Fleury or backup Jeff Zatkoff.
EDGE Analysis
The Flower has surrendered 12 goals in his last three road starts. With a full slate of action Saturday, it might be wise to at least consider other options. Florida will be well rested while the Pens will be coming off Friday's 6-3 loss to Tampa Bay.

Fleury gave up four goals on 14 shots before being pulled in Friday's 6-3 loss to Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury got the hook midway through the second period after Tyler Johnson beat him on the power play for the fourth Bolts goal of the evening. The implosion snapped a five-game winning streak for the veteran netminder, who had been playing with fire by twice allowing four goals or more in wins over Vancouver and Ottawa where the Pens' offense bailed him out. Nonetheless, Fleury has 20 wins in 37 appearances this season with a 2.44 GAA and .919 save percentage.

Fleury will get a road start in net Friday night, taking on the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
The Penguins are in a groove, having claimed wins in each of the past five starts made by Fleury. Over that timeframe, the veteran backstop has a pair of shutouts and 12 goals allowed in all. Tampa Bay ranks 15th in the league with 2.62 goals per game but its 28.9 shots per game is only good for 22nd, so Fleury might have an edge in this matchup especially when you consider that the Penguins lead the league averaging 32.6 shots per contest.

Fleury surrendered five goals on 23 shots but earned his 20th win of the season in a 6-5 win over Ottawa on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pens coach Mike Sullivan suggested the Sens enjoyed a bit of "puck luck" but that's of little consolation to Fleury fantasy owners. The Flower has posted shutouts in two of his last five games (all wins) but has given up 12 scores in the other three contests.

Fleury will start between the pipes in Tuesday evening's matchup with the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury has gotten on a roll as of late, earning wins in four straight games, including a shutout of the Devils in his last outing. The 31-year-old veteran goaltender has compiled a 19-11-5 record on the season with a .925 save percentage and 2.28 GAA. He gets the start Tuesday against an Ottawa team he shut out earlier in the season, stopping 22 shots Oct. 15. The Senators have dropped three of their past four games and are currently tied for fifth place in the Atlantic Division, so this should provide Fleury with a favorable home matchup.

Fleury stopped all 25 shots en route to a 2-0 victory over the Devils on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Pens' longtime netminder has won four consecutive games, though it's been a bit of a Jekyll-and-Hyde act -- in that span, he's got two shutouts, but allowed seven goals in the other two games. That's been part of a broader pattern of not-so-consistent play from Fleury over the last several weeks, but with the Penguins' offense finally clicking, he doesn't have to be perfect anymore.
