Thompson (lower body) hasn't gotten back onto the ice yet, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports Tuesday, indicating he shouldn't be expected back any time soon.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson has played in just one of the Knights' last 33 contests and appears to be no closer to getting back into action. Even once cleared to play, Thompson could struggle to steal back the crease considering Laurent Brossoit has won three straight postseason contests. At this point, Thompson should probably be considered out indefinitely, at least until he gets back on the ice.

Thompson (lower body) isn't available for Game 2 against Winnipeg on Thursday, Steve Carp of The Sporting Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis

Thompson (lower body) will stay off the ice for the next few days, Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy told Ben Gotz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson will miss Vegas' regular-season finale against Seattle on Thursday, and his availability for the start of the playoffs is in doubt. He'll finish the 2022-23 campaign with a 21-13-3 record, 2.65 GAA and .915 save percentage in 37 outings. Laurent Brossoit will probably start Thursday, but that hasn't been confirmed.

Thompson (lower body) has begun on-ice work but remains without a specific timeline to return to action, Ben Gotz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
At this point, Thompson is likely running out of chances to play again this season as it seems unlikely he would be pressed into service in a playoff game, especially considering he has played just once since early February. Still, Thompson does have the most wins among the Knights' five starting goaltenders this season with 21 while fellow absentee Adin Hill (lower body) has 16.

Thompson (undisclosed) went down the tunnel in the third period of Thursday's game versus the Flames, Ben Gotz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson stopped 37 of 39 shots but had to exit late in the third period, with Jonathan Quick stepping in to replace him. It's a bit concerning since Thompson was making his return from an injury he sustained Feb. 9. Per Gotz, it's unlikely Thompson will be available Saturday versus the Oilers.

EDGE Analysis
Thompson, who returned from a lower-body injury and served as the backup Tuesday, will be making his first start since Feb. 9. He's 20-13-3 with a 2.66 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 36 outings this season. The Flames have the 17th-ranked offense with 3.14 goals per game.

Thompson (lower body) is expected to serve as the No. 2 option behind Jonathan Quick against the Canucks on Tuesday, per NHL.com.
EDGE Analysis
Thompson has been out of action since Feb. 9 against the Wild due to his lower-body issue, a stretch of 17 games on the shelf. Prior to his absence, the netminder was struggling to rack up wins with just two victories in his previous eight outings. Still, Thompson should be in the mix for at least a share of the workload alongside Quick with his injury woes seemingly behind him.
