O'Connor had an assist, three shots on goal and two hits over 15:13 of ice time in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor had been skating on Colorado's top line but was dropped to the third line, as Nathan MacKinnon returned from a lower-body injury. The 25-year-old winger helped on Samuel Girard's goal late in the first period to give the Avalanche its first tally. No longer on a line with offensive stars Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog, O'Connor is tasked with developing an on-ice rapport with prospect Alex Newhook and the recently acquired Nicolas Aube-Kubel. He has five assists and eight points over 19 games.

O'Connor produced an assist and five shots on goal in Monday's 7-5 win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor came up clutch in the third period, setting up Alex Newhook for the game-winning tally. The 25-year-old O'Connor has been solid in seven games in November, recording three goals and two assists while playing top-six minutes for the first time in his career. He has seven points, 40 shots, 15 hits and an even plus-minus rating in 15 outings overall.

O'Connor had one shot on goal, one hit and four penalty minutes while finishing minus-1 in Friday's 7-3 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor was the lone member of the Avalanche to finish on the negative side of plus/minus, but he remained at right wing of the first line for the second consecutive game. In two contests since he replaced J.T. Compher (upper body), who was filling in for Nathan MacKinnon (lower body), O'Connor has one shot on goal, two hits, two blocked shots, four PIM, one takeaway and is minus-1 while averaging 15:41 TOI.

O'Connor had one hit and two blocked shots over 16:06 of ice time in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor opened the game on Colorado's top line but did not finish there. Nor was he used on the power play, where the Avalanche did most of their damage, scoring on three of five opportunities. In the third period, Andre Burakovsky took shifts on the top line while O'Connor joined other units. Avs head coach Jared Bednar is looking for someone to join Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen on the first line until Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) returns, which is expected to happen around the beginning of December.

O'Connor practiced on the top line Monday, Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor was promoted to the first line after the Avalanche announced J.T. Compher will miss "approximately a month" with an upper-body injury. Compher had been filling in for the injured Nathan MacKinnon (lower body), who is not due back until the beginning of December. So, for at least the start of Wednesday's game in Vancouver, O'Connor will join Mikko Rantanen, who moves to center, and Gabriel Landeskog. That's a plum assignment for O'Connor, who scored goals in two straight games and posted five points in the last six.

O'Connor scored a shorthanded goal and blocked two shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor has been solid lately, logging three goals and two helpers in his last six contests. He has six points in 12 games overall, besting his career high of five points from 22 outings last year. The 25-year-old has topped 17 minutes of ice time in three of the last four games, showing that head coach Jared Bednar trusts him with a more advanced role. As long as he keeps contributing on offense, he'll be worth a look in deeper fantasy formats.

O'Connor scored a goal on four shots, dished a shorthanded assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor's pair of points came in the second period as the Avalanche tightened their grip on the lead. The 25-year-old forward is up to five points, 33 shots on net, 12 hits, nine blocked shots and a minus-1 rating in 11 contests. He could benefit from Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) missing three weeks -- O'Connor played on the third line Thursday after previously logging fourth-line minutes more frequently.

O'Connor scored a goal on six shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor tallied just 32 seconds into the second period after a scoreless first. The 25-year-old forward played on the second line with the Avalanche missing three wingers from their preferred lineup. The Texas native has a goal, two assists, 26 shots on net, 11 hits and a minus-3 rating in nine appearances, and he could continue to see at least middle-six minutes until some forwards return from injury.

O'Connor had an assist, two shots and one blocked shot over 12:44 of ice time in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor was one of the few bright spots for the Avalanche. He was key in the sequence that led to Darren Helm's goal early in the second period that tied that game at two. Taking a feed from Bowen Byram, O'Connor circled the back of the net away from defenders, kept moving along the boards and pivoted while skating away from several Capitals, then fed Helm alone in front. It was the first point of the season for the 25-year-old O'Connor, who got a good taste of the NHL in 2020 and should serve as a full-season regular in 2021.

O'Connor signed a three-year contract worth $3.15 million with the Avalanche on Wednesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Connor's new deal starts in 2022-23. The 25-year-old established himself as a reliable bottom-six option last year, recording five points and 29 hits in 22 contests. With a new contract signed, O'Connor appears set to see a regular role in the lineup going forward, although he's unlikely to make much of an impact for fantasy purposes.
