Brown (upper body) left and will not return to Saturday's game against Boston, Hailey Salvian of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown took a slash to the arm/wrist area and went immediately down the tunnel afterwards. Ottawa next plays the Rangers on Monday, so Brown will have a couple of days to recover and hopefully won't miss any extra time. Brown collected an assist before departing Saturday's game.

The Senators recalled Brown from AHL Belleville on Wednesday.

Brown was one of four players sent down to AHL Belleville on Monday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Belleville a point out of a playoff spot, the Senators likely made the move to allow Brown to play in the Calder Cup playoffs, as he would be ineligible if left on the NHL roster past Monday. Brown will likely be called up if Belleville does not qualify or is quickly eliminated.

Brown was recalled from AHL Belleville on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has yet to log any ice time for the Senators this season. In a corresponding move, the Senators also recalled Drake Batherson while reassigning Darren Archibald and Cody Goloubef. The 2016 first-round pick will likely only provide forward depth for Ottawa until proven otherwise.

Brown was demoted to AHL Belleville on Sunday, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown appears to have lost out on the fourth-line center role to fellow youngster Filip Chlapik. Bringing in Chris Tierney as part of the Erik Karlsson deal may have bolstered the Senators' depth down the middle, but it likely bounced Brown from a spot on the Opening Night roster.

Brown was returned to OHL Windsor on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown logged four games -- watching another five -- before the club pulled the trigger on sending him back to juniors. In his limited NHL action, the center snagged an assist -- his first career point -- along with four shots on goal and one blocked shot. The 19-year-old is averaging over a point per game with the Spitfires and should be able to continue that production level this year as well.

Brown has watched the past five games from the press box.
EDGE Analysis
The American center remains on the Senators' active roster, but it's clear that he's a depth player at this juncture. While he did lace his skates for the Oct. 5 season opener, Brown only garnered 10:18 of ice time in that shootout loss to the Capitals. It's safe to disregard him in any fantasy format.

Brown racked up four assists in Windsor's (OHL) 5-4 overtime win over London on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown now has 14 points (including a whopping 11 assists) in his first six games this season. Brown has always been known as more of a playmaker than a finisher, so his numbers in the early part of the year shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Brown needs to continue to add weight to his frame, but he has the hands and physical attributes to become a dominant power forward at the NHL level down the line.

Brown has enjoyed being local and learning from Ottawa-based veteran skaters and coaches -- including new teammate Chris Neil -- and acknowledged his vast improvement over the summer, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown may be only 18 years old, but he's making strides early and it's getting noticed by his teammates. "The kid wants to get better, there's a reason why he was a first round pick," Chris Neil said. The 2016 No. 11 pick was a force with the Windsor Spitfires last season, potting 21 goals and amassing 53 assists at the helm. Brown is going to battle for a roster spot early, and if he continues to catch the eye of the coaches and teammates alike, the center could be utilized earlier than expected.
