Versteeg had season ending knee surgery in March.

Versteeg has been in-an-out of the Panthers lineup this season. He will now join Stephen Weiss as Panthers who are out for the rest of the season.

The hit was clean but the unfortunate Versteeg will miss more time this season. Consider him day-to-day.

It is has been a tough season so far for Versteeg. He hasn't played since February 12th and only has 1G, 2A and a -7 in seven games this season. He won't be back tonight but he skated today and should be back in the lineup soon.

Versteeg has missed the Panthers last three games and will miss tomorrow and Friday's games as well. He could be back on Sunday when the Panthers take on Boston.

He posted up 23 G and 31 A in 71 games last season so he could be a good pickup when he returns from injury if he can find his scoring touch again.

This is not good news for the Panthers as Versteeg is one of their best offensive options. They were shutout last night agianst Montreal and could use Versteeg as soon as he is ready to go. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Versteeg likely won't play tonight for the Panthers and should be considered day-to-day after being hit by Ovechkin on Tuesday. Monitor his status before game-time but I don't think he will play.

Versteeg got rocked by Ovechkin yesterday and only played 13:38 (averages 17:13). There are no specifics as too what is wrong with Versteeg. Check back tomorrow for a more detailed update.
