Kaprizov scored a power-play goal on two shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprizov got the Wild on the board at 13:05 of the second period, but that was all they could muster against Philipp Grubauer. It was the third goal of the season for Kaprizov, who is up to nine points, a plus-4 rating and 17 shots on goal through 11 contests. Fantasy managers who took a chance on the highly-hyped Russian winger should be pleased with his scoring production so far, as he should remain in the Calder Trophy conversation throughout the season.

Kaprizov produced an assist in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprizov set up Victor Rask for the latter's second goal of the contest, which ultimately forced overtime. The 23-year-old Kaprizov has a point in every other game over his last nine outings. He's up to eight points in 10 contests overall, with a healthy role in the top six and on the power play, although he's yet to earn a point with the man advantage.

Kaprizov scored a goal on two shots and was plus-2 in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis

Kaprizov posted an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprizov made a slick pass to set up Zach Parise for the opening goal of the game. The 23-year-old Kaprizov has shown well through six contests -- he has one goal, five helpers, a plus-4 rating and 12 shots on net. He'll continue to serve in a top-line role for the foreseeable future. Expect some ups and downs for the Russian rookie, but he's on a surge through his first couple of weeks in the NHL.

Kaprizov has supplied one goal and four assists across 18:31 of average ice time through the first five games this season.
EDGE Analysis
At least in the early going, Kaprizov appears to be assuming a pass-first mentality, recording four assists and only 10 shots. The goals and points should certainly continue to come, however, as the 23-year-old has seen 5:24 of average power-play ice time thus far.

Kaprizov scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Both of Kaprizov's helpers were of the primary variety, as he set up Jonas Brodin in the first period and Victor Rask in the third. In overtime, Kaprizov put the cherry on top with a breakaway goal on a Dustin Brown turnover. With the tally, Kaprizov became just the third player in league history to score in overtime in his NHL debut. The Russian winger was as-advertised Thursday, and he should be a lock for the Wild's top six throughout the campaign. Perhaps the Calder Trophy could end up on his mantle by the end of 2020-21.

Kaprizov signed a two-year, entry level contract with the Wild on Monday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. He won't be eligible to play until the 2020-21 season.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprizov will be a restricted free agent until 2024 under the contract. Kaprizov led the Kontinental Hockey League with 33 goals in 57 games this season and should be an immediate impact player. While he's not eligible to play with the Wild for the 2019-20 playoffs, the team is hopeful he can join for this month's training camp and then travel to Canada with his teammates.

Kaprizov will be able to sign an entry-level deal but won't be eligible to play in the 2020 Stanley Cup Qualifiers.
EDGE Analysis
The Wild have expressed their intention to burn the first year of Kaprizov's entry-level deal by signing him for the remainder of the 2019-20 season, and they'll be able to do that if he decides to sign even though he won't be able to play once the season restarts. Kaprizov led the Kontinental Hockey League with 33 goals in 57 games this season.

Kaprizov -- who has yet to sign an entry-level deal -- will likely not be able to link up with the Wild for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to the reports, Kaprizov had hoped to burn the first year of his NHL deal by joining Minnesota for the rest of the 2019-20 season. However, it appears the league plans to require all college, junior and European contracts to begin with 2020-21. The NHL's decision could complicate the Wild's pursuit of the Russian winger. The 23-year-old is coming off a KHL season in which he racked up 33 goals and 29 helpers in 57 contests with CSKA Moscow.

General manager Bill Guerin was in Russia last week to meet with Kaprizov and discuss his NHL future, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guerin was in Moscow with his prized prospect from Sunday to Tuesday last week, not only watching him play, but conducting meetings with Kaprizov and his agent. The Russian already expressed his plan to join the Wild next season with his contract in the KHL up, but Guerin reiterated that the team won't put any pressure on him to jump to the NHL. Kaprizov would be a huge boost to a Wild lineup with his electrifying talent, as he's racked up 16 goals and 30 points in 31 KHL games this campaign as a 22-year-old.
