It's hard to believe, but with his assist in Anaheim on Sunday, Hayes has strung together points in consecutive games for the first time this season.

While this was a positive step, Hayes is likely to remain in a bottom-six role until he shows more consistency.

St. Louis acquired Hayes from Philadelphia on Tuesday in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
