Justin Abdelkader was forced to leave Thursday's game after blocking a shot with his foot in the third period but he did return. Abdelkader missedv almost eight minutes of action as he left the game at the 7:16 mark of the third but returned to play two shifts and said after the game that he was fine. Abdelkader has only two goals and six points in 30 games so this post shouldn't affect too many poolies.

Justin Abdelkader will center the Red Wings' fourth line on Friday. Drew Miller shifted to center for Tuesday's game, but he'll serve as a winger on Abdelkader's line. "I don't know if it's the best thing for Abby (moving to center) but it's the best thing for our team," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "We're trying to play better. I needed to move some stuff around."

The Red Wings are hoping to get a breakout year from Justin Abdelkader this season. He recorded just seven goals, 12 assists and 61 penalty minutes in 74 games in 2010-11. Abdelkader is currently playing with Todd Bertuzzi and Darren Helm, but he has no points in the first two games of the year. He shouldn't be on your fantasy radar unless you are in a deep league that counts hits as a category.
