Compher scored at even strength in Saturday's 3-2 overtime road loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Compher went top shelf over the goalie glove of David Rittich to put the Avalanche up 2-0 in the first period. The American pivot impressively has three goals and an assist through five games on the young season.

Compher (undisclosed) rejoined his teammates at practice Tuesday, The Denver Post reports. He skipped Sunday's preseason finale against the Wild for precautionary reasons.
EDGE Analysis
Given the precautionary nature of Compher's absence, it appears he's ready to rock ahead of Thursday's preseason opener against the Wild. He notched 23 points over 69 contests for the Avalanche a season ago and could see similar production and possibly some improvement if he remains healthy for all of 2018-19.

Compher (undisclosed) missed Sunday's game after also being absent from Saturday's practice - no update has been given regarding his status for Thursday's season opener, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Compher, 23, is coming off a 2017-18 campaign that, among other things, saw him finish a minus-29. Suffice to say, that number must improve in 2018-19 if he expects to remain an everyday player. As of now, there have been no details released addressing his absence and we'll likely have to wait until tomorrow before getting an update on his status going forward.

Compher found the back of the net Monday in a 5-3 road win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
A versatile forward who's smooth on his skates, Compher delivered 13 goals and 10 helpers through 69 games of the 2017-18 regular season, including two shorthanded goals and seven points on the man advantage. He only committed 13 giveaways, but ended up with a minus-29 rating for a team that made the playoffs and wound up with a plus-20 goal differential. More experience should go a long way for the Illinois native.

Compher was the primary assist man on Sven Andrighetto's game-winning goal against the Predators in Game 5 on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Compher and Andrighetto jumped out on an odd-man rush and Compher shot glove side on Pekka Rinne and missed, but the puck dribbled perfectly in the path of Andrighetto and it held up as the game-winning tally. Don't look now, but Compher now has three assists in the conference quarterfinals as an unsuspecting offensive contributor.

Compher scored two goals -- one on the power play -- during Tuesday's 5-1 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
The tally snapped a 16-game goal drought, and Compher had just a single assist during the scoring drought. Still, he's now collected a respectable 22 points through 56 games for the campaign, and the sophomore hasn't looked too out of place in a scoring role. However, Compher will need to show more offensive consistency to warrant fantasy attention in the majority of settings.

Compher scored his 11th goal of the season and had an assist in Tuesday's win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Compher is heating up right now, recording four goals in his last five games. The 22-year-old is skating on a line with Tyson Jost and has been a solid depth contributor for the Avalanche this season. With Nathan MacKinnon (shoulder) on the shelf, the Avalanche will be looking to guys like Compher to help pick up the slack. The third-line center is worth taking a look at in a deep league right now, as he's playing with confidence, shooting often and seeing time on the first power-play unit.

Compher (illness) will return to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Canucks, Avalanche Insider Rick Sadowski reports.
EDGE Analysis
Compher's missed Thursday's game against the Blues due to an illness, but he was never in serious danger of missing Colorado's clash with the Canucks. The 22-year-old forward, who's notched eight goals and 15 points in 35 games, will slot into a bottom-six role Tuesday, skating with Alex Kerfoot and Colin Wilson (illness) on the Avalanche's third line.

Compher is under the weather and will miss Thursday's clash with St. Louis, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Compher is fresh off a six-game stint on the sidelines due to an upper-body malady and will now miss another outing. In his four contests back from injury, the natural center tallied a goal, an assist and eight shots. A.J. Greer figures to slot into the lineup in Compher's stead.

Compher scored a goal and logged 17:56 of ice time (3:23 with the man advantage) during Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old center has now marked the scoresheet in consecutive games and is up to 15 points -- eight goals -- through 35 contests for the campaign. There's potential for improved offensive numbers in the future for Compher, as he was an elite scorer at the University of Michigan and recorded 13 goals and 17 assists through just 41 AHL games last season. However, he's more of a player to watch than scoop up in the majority of fantasy settings at this point of the 2017-18 campaign.
