DAILY PRIME TODAY: HARDING-HAR-HAR primepucks.com Tue 12/3/13 8:20 AM

Even though he had lost 2 in a row and the team 4 in a row, Josh Harding was back in net for the Minnesota Wild and continued his stellar goaltending despite the losses by blanking the Philadelphia Flyers. It was Harding's 3rd shutout of the season in just 19 starts. He also lowered his GAA to 1.45 and saw his save percentage rise to .939.  If you haven't already done so and he is still available in your league, grab him ASAP as he has proved he can handle the Number 1 goaltending job in Minnesota....Jason Pominville ended his 5-game goal-less streak with a goal I nthe 3rd period that proved to be the game-winner. Pominville is as streaky as they get and when he gets hot, he gets on a roll.  Perhaps you can get him on the cheap....Charlie Coyle also broke a 5-game goal-less streak. Coyle is counted on to provide offense, but at 21 years old he still lacks the consistency. More Fantasy Game Notes: NY Ranger backup goalie Cam Talbot earned his consecutive start after his stellar effort against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. Talbot didn't fare as well and saw his 6-game winning streak come to an end.  He also saw his streak of not allowing more than 2 goals in a game end at 7, which is a Ranger record.  He is a more than capable backup but that is all that he will be as long as the King reigns on Broadway....Olli Jokinen was the offensive hero for the Winnipeg Jets in their win over the Rangers with 2 goals and an assist but this Jokinen is past his fantasy prime so don't go rushing out to grab him hoping that he returns to his glory days. Although, he does have 17 points in 29 games played but only 2 power play assists....Except for his one clunker against Chicago, (and could anyone blame him?), Jets' G Ondrej Pavelec has not allowed more than 2 goals in 6 of his last 7 starts. There may be still be a disgruntled owner around if you need a 2nd tier goalie...Destiny is thy name but it is shared by Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais. Since being put back together, these two have been dynamite.  In last night's 3-2 victory against the New Jersey Devils, Max Factor had a power play goal while Double D had 2 assists to continue their resurgence after a slow start.  It may be too late to get either, but you still might have a shot at getting Desharnais. ...For now and for the future, if you are looking for a star in the making, look no further than Montreal's Alex Galchenyuk. Goalie Start: Harding will be between the pipes vs. the Flyers. dailyfaceoff.com Mon 12/2/13 2:56 PM

Harding allowed two goals on 25 shots in 3-2 shootout loss to the Avalanche on Saturday. He lost back-to-back games to the Avalanche this weekend, but to no fault of his own. Harding continues to impress this season, posting a 13-4-3 with a 1.52 GAA and .936 SV% through the first two months.

Goalie Start: Harding leads the Wild onto the ice for warm-ups. dailyfaceoff.com Sun 12/1/13 8:56 AM

Harding gave up two goals on 20 shots but still walked away the loser last night. He will get another crack at the Avalanche tonight, but in Colorado this time around. Harding is an amazing 8-2-1 with a 1.88 GAA and .927 SV% on the road this season.

Goalie Start: Harding leads the Wild out for warmups - he starts. dailyfaceoff.com Fri 11/29/13 7:56 PM

Harding will be back in the cage tonight after missing the last three games with a lower-body injury. He has been a fantasy stud this season, with a 13-3-2 record, 1.48 GAA and .939 SV%. He draws a tough matchup vs. the Avalanche tonight, but he is 10-0-0 with a 1.15 GAA and .948 SV% at home.

THE GOALIE EDGE: 11/29/2013 primepucks.com Fri 11/29/13 11:33 AM

ALL GOALIES CONFIRMED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AT TIME OF PRINT An early bird special this day after Thanksgiving as the Philadelphia Flyers are hosting the Winnipeg Jets. Steve Mason gets the nod against Ondrej Pavelec. Mason is having the better year out of the two statistically speaking and being on home ice should be enough advantage as the Flyers try to get back on the winning track....Then we have a matinee special as well with the New York Rangers and Henrik Lundqvist visit the Boston Bruins. Both goalies have something to prove in this one with the "King" trying to add to last game's win against Florida and Tuukka Rask trying to shake his lackluster effort against the Detroit Red Wings.  This one just may last long into a shootout..."Hockey all day" continues as the Tampa Bay Lightning and Ben Bishop (LIKELY) will face the surging Pittsburgh Penguins at 4:00 pm (ET). Marc-Andre Fleury (LIKELY) will be in net for the Pens as he has been getting plenty of support lately with the return of James Neal to the lineup. Bishop has a nicked-up hand, so the Penguins may try to take advantage of that.  It was a wild one last time these two teams met, ending in a 5-4 Pens' victory. This will be a good test for the Bolt....The second of four 4:00 pm games pits the New York Islanders and Kevin Poulin against the visiting Detroit Red Wings who are coming off a thrashing of the Boston Bruins. I sense a letdown for the Wings in this one as Jimmy Howard has lost 7 in a row. Howard is struggling a bit this year and while Poulin hasn't stepped it up ever since Nabokov went down with an injury, the Isles are in desperate need of a win after losing 4 straight and 9 of their last 11....Reto Berra and the Calgary Flames travel to Anaheim to take on Jonas Hiller (LIKELY) and the Ducks. Hiller tries to get back on the winning track against a Flames team the Ducks should easily handle....In a game pitting two Western Conference powerhouses against one another, Jaroslav Halak (LIKELY)and the St. Louis Blues take their gear to San Jose to take on the Sharks and Antti Niemi. The Sharks have won 3 in a row while and 6 of last 7 while the Blues have won 5 in a row as Halak has been improving his game in that streak, allowing only 4 regulation goals in 4 games during that streak.  This should be a great game to watch and I'm not crazy enough to select who may win this one....On to 5:00 pm (ET) where we will see a battle of the backups.  The Montreal Canadiens go with Peter Budaj,...

Harding avoided a serious injury which is great news for the WIld and his fantasy owners. He has been one of the NHL's best stories this season, starting the year 13-3-2 wit ha 1.48 GAA and .939 SV%. He has done all this while dealing with multiple sclerosis.

Goalie Start: Harding has been sent back to Minnesota to be re-eval... dailyfaceoff.com Sun 11/24/13 2:56 PM

If Harding is healthy enough to play he will rejoin the team in St. Louis for their game tomorrow. If he can't go, Darcy Kuemper will be back to back-up Niklas Backstrom. Harding was supposed to start Saturday afternoon, but suffered a lower-body injury after stepping on a puck in warm-ups.

Harding stepped on a puck and suffered a lower-body injury in pre-game warm-ups. Niklas Backstrom who was activated off of IR just hours before the game made the start. The Wild will likely provide an update on Harding's status later today. It would be a terrible break if Harding misses an extended period of time.
