With two goals, two assists, 11 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through two appearances, Doan has quickly made a statement on his NHL readiness. The 22-year-old is seeing sheltered bottom-six minutes for now, allowing him to focus on contributing offense in his first taste of NHL action.

Doan scored a pair of go-ahead goals for the Coyotes, with the second one standing as the game-winner. The son of Coyotes legend Shane Doan is already off to a fantastic start after his NHL debut, which makes it seem likely he'll get a longer look with the big club down the stretch. He had 46 points over 62 AHL contests prior to his promotion, so he should be able to provide a scoring touch from a bottom-six role.

Doan, the son of longtime Coyotes captain Shane Doan, was a second-round pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Doan has tallied 26 goals and 46 points through 62 AHL contests. The 22-year-old is expected to make his NHL debut Tuesday against Columbus.
