Jonathon Blum says he will go to the AHL if a lockout cancels regular season games. The defenseman just signed a one-year deal with the Predators on Thursday. "If the time comes when the season starts," he said, "I'll have some games under my belt down there and be in a top level and ready to come to camp, and a short camp, and start the season here."

Jonathon Blum has inked a one-year, two-way deal with the Nashville Predators. Blum is set to earn $650,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 in the minors. However, the contract also guarantees that he'll make a minimum of $300,000 even if he spends the entire season in the AHL. He was a restricted free agent.
