As long as his struggles persist, he can't be trusted under any circumstances.

Quick was lit up for eight goals on 25 shots in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Canucks.

There was no mercy hook from coach Todd McLellan on Wednesday night, as the coach left the veteran goalie in the crease for the whole shellacking. Quick isn't doing himself any favors with 14 goals allowed in his two starts this season. If he continues to struggle, the Connecticut native may start losing time to Jack Campbell.

Quick will tend the road twine for Wednesday's game versus the Canucks.

Quick will start the latter half of back-to-back games, and he's looking to bounce back from a dreadful season opener where he allowed six goals on 31 shots to the Oilers. If Quick can get back on track, it appears the Kings' offense can help him mark the win column as well, as it has scored 10 goals and averaged 36 shots on net per game thus far.

It was an ugly opener from a defensive standpoint for the Kings, who coughed up four different leads on Saturday. He'll likely be back between the pipes when the Kings return to action Tuesday at Calgary.
