The Los Angeles Kings went down 2-0 early in their series with the Blues, but they battled back and won four straight to finish St. Louis off in six. Quick has posted slightly better numbers than his round two counterpart Antti Niemi so far. He has a 1.58 GAA vs. Niemi's 1.86 as well as a .944 SV% vs. a .937 SV%. The Kings have the experience of last year's Stanley Cup run, but it won't be easy vs. a good Sharks team.

Quick was tremendous in the crease again in Game 5 when he stopped 34 of the 36 shots directed at him. He will obviously start Game 6 after winning each of his last three starts. His 1.69 GAA and .942 SV% are second and third respectively amongst playoff goalies.

Quick was not too busy in Game 4 but still allowed three goals on 22 shots. However it was enough to backstop the Kings to a win and knot the series up at 2-2. They will need a good performance out of him as the series shifts back to St. Louis for Game 5.

Aside from one terrible giveaway in overtime that cost the Kings Game 1, Quick played very well. It was a tight-to-the-vest defensive game which is what I expect most of the series to be like. Quick will look to redeem himself in Game 2 and tie the series up heading back to Los Angeles.

Quick had a solid season going 18-13-4 with a 2.45 GAA and .902 SV%. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the playoffs last season, but back surgery last summer prevented him from approaching that form until recently.
