Injury: Los Angeles Kings' goaltender Jonathan Quick left Tuesday's... dailyfaceoff.com Wed 11/13/13 12:56 AM
Quick stretched to make a save in the extra-frame and then slid back and hit his leg off of the post. Quick stayed down clearly in pain. Quick had an easy night before getting injured, he allowed two goals on 17 shots. Ben Scrivens replaced Quick in overtime and was not forced to make a save. The game went to a shootout where the Sabres scored two of three shots on Scrivens to win 3-2. There is no word one the nature or severity of Quick's injury but it had the look of a groin injury. He will be evaluated tomorrow and more details will be released.

ALL GOALIES CONFIRMED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AT TIME OF PRINT
The NHL's top team rolls into sunny Florida, as the Anaheim Ducks will face a Panthers squad who are losers of their last 8 games. Frederik Andersen, the Great Dane Goaltender, has been stellar while Tim Thomas has not been at his best since returning from a leg injury. In those two starts for Florida, he posted a 3.56 GAA and .881 SP. OUCH! Andersen continues his magical season... After having his three-game winning streak snapped at the hands of Colorado, Braden Holtby and the Washington Caps take the show home to face the struggling Columbus Blue Jackets. Alex Ovechkin and company should be stoked to get back in the winning column. Edge to Holtby...Jonathan Quick has won 5 of the last 6 starts for the Kings, while Ryan Miller was pulled in his last start after two periods in Buffalo's lop-sided loss to Anaheim. The Sabre's defense has been very porous, leaving Miller to hang out and dry on many occasions. The Kings should have their way tonight. Go Quick.... The Isles have been playing it smart by giving Kevin Poulin a bunch of starts in place of the struggling Evgeni Nabokov. Marek Mazanec gets his first career start after relieving Hutton in the last game. We love Poulin tonight against the invisible Nashville offense.... Niemi gets the night off as Alex Stalock will be getting just his second career start. Stalock and San Jose are looking to stop their 5-game winless streak. They are bound to win a game, right? Their opponent Calgary has fallen off after a good start, so expect a big bounce-back game from the Sharks... The matchup between the Devils and Rangers pit the best of all-time (Martin Brodeur), against the best right now (Henrik Lundqvist). This could be a mild shocker, as the proud Brodeur continues to roll, even against a surging Blueshirts squad....What could turn into another goaltending duel is Mike Smith and the Phoenix Coyotes against Jaroslav Halak and the St. Louis Blues. Phoenix is having a good start to the season behind Smith, whose metrics haven't been great, whereas Halak has solidified his hold on the No.1 spot for the Notes. Notes over Yotes.....Even without the loss of Superstar Steven Stamkos, it was going to be a tough night against Carey Price (LIKELY) and the Montreal Canadiens. The Bolts may still be in shock over what happened yesterday, and now must find ways to replace the missing offense. Ben Bishop (LIKELY) has been stellar so far this season and ...

Quick was beat up for four goals on 17 shots in a loss to the Predators on Saturday. He has had four days off since his last start, so he and the Kings should be well rested when the Sabres come to town tonight. The Sabres are a great matchup for Quick, making him a must-start.
ADD'EM: KREIDER MOVING UP primepucks.com Sun 11/3/13 8:35 PM
Chris Kreider- New York Rangers, LW (Owned in 16.7% of ESPN leagues)
Ever since his call-up from the AHL, the 22-year old has been an offensive spark for a Ranger's team arguably missing their two best forwards in Rick Nash and Ryan Callahan. He is currently riding a three-game point streak, where he has collected 2 goals and 3 assists while playing on the second line with Derek Stepan. He has also been getting regular time on the top power-play unit, so the youngster has a chance to fulfill his offensive potential under new Ranger's coach Alain Vigneault. He is definitely worth a pickup while he is hot, but he could end up with considerable keeper-league value.
David Legwand- Nashville , C (Owned in 3.8% of ESPN leagues)
With 7 points (3G/4A) in his last four games, the veteran center has provided much-needed scoring punch for an anemic Predator offensive attack. Listen, I am not telling you that any Nashville forwards are worth relying on as consistent fantasy options, but Legwand has the offensive capabilities to pour it on for long stretches of games. The streaky center is worth a short-term gamble, especially if you are lacking production from your bottom-three fantasy forwards. Just keep in mind that he is a career .5 point-per-game guy playing for a lower-echelon offensive squad, so don't expect his luck to last too long.
Kris Russell- Calgary, D (Owned in 54.5% of ESPN leagues)
Don't look now, but the 26-year old journeyman has enjoyed a huge spike in minutes since Mark Giordano was sidelined due to a broken ankle. Since being paired with Dennis Wideman, both on the top pairing even-strength and on the PP, he has been scoring regularly with 5 points in the last 6 games. After having fallen short of expectations in Columbus and St. Louis, he is now delivering the goods with the extra ice-time. He is well worth a flier if available in your leagues.
Andrew MacDonald- New York Islanders, D (Owned in 29.7% of ESPN leagues)
The 27-year old blueliner picked up a goal and an assist over the last three games, continuing to reap the rewards of more quality ice-time in the absence of Lubomir Visnovsky, who is out indefinitely due to a concussion. MacDonald has been a mainstay on the top power-play unit and should see a dramatic increase in offensive production if he holds on to that role. The addition of sniper Thomas Vanek makes all the key Islander players more fantasy relevant, as the PP efficiency and overall team scoring should be on the rise. As long...

On Wednesday, Quick gave up three goals on 20 shots but still walked away with the overtime win against the Sharks. The win was his eighth of the season to go along with a 2.56 GAA and .903 SV%. His numbers are still not where his owners would like them, but he should make for a good start tonight vs. Nashville.

The Brodeur of old has been on display during New Jersey's modest two-game win streak, so look for the future HOF'er to have his way against a Philadelphia team which is coming off a 7-0 drubbing last night. To add insult to injury, the Flyers will be without their hottest forward Vincent Lecavalier due to injury. Go Brodeur.. "King Henrik" is coming off a shutout of the Buffalo Sabres, so look for Carolina to be easy prey for the surging Rangers. The Canes might be going with their fourth-stringer in goal tonight, so huge edge belongs to Lundqvist.. After a heart-breaking loss to Boston, Jonas Hiller and the Ducks will be plenty motivated against a struggling Buffalo team, who has only mustered two wins all season. Hiller all day... The Isles were impressive in coming back on the road against Ottawa, but they will find it tough against Boston at home. Chad Johnson will be in net, but the "B's" should prevail. The chemistry between Tavares and Vanek is still developing, so expect some bumps on the road for New York. Take Johnson.. We love Corey Crawford and the Blackhawks to gain their third straight victory against Winnipeg, who could be flat their first game at home after their road trip and very deflated after blowing a lead at St. Louis. Edge to Crawford.. Out West, Jonathan Quick(LIKELY) and Antti Niemi(LIKELY) should lead their respective teams, LA and San Jose to wins. Carter Hutton is not the answer for Nashville and Mike Smith plays better at home. Period..
FANTASY MUST-STARTS
Martin Brodeur, New Jersey vs. Philadelphia
