Moore has signed a five-year deal with the Bruins at an average annual value of $2.75 million, TSN.ca reports.

Moore, who scored seven goals and 18 points in 81 games with New Jersey last season, gives the Bruins an experienced left-shooting D-man to bolster the team's back line corps. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is a strong skater and his addition could potentially make a trade involving mobile blueliner Torey Krug more palatable/plausible. From a fantasy perspective, Moore's upside appears modest, though he does posses enough skill to help out on the power play, if needed.

Moore played in 81 games during the 2017-18 season, scoring 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) while averaging 20:01 of ice time during 2017-18.

EDGE Analysis

Throughout the season Moore steadily supplied a physical presence even if his point production wasn't the most consistent, as his 135 hits were the most of any defensemen on New Jersey, and the most of his career. Moore also raised his Corsi to a 48.4 percentage, and while the mark isn't spectacular by any means, it was the second straight season he's increased the mark after posting a disappointing 43.6 percentage in his first season in New Jersey. This was also the Illinois native's third straight season with 18 or more points, but he's set to be a free agent and it's unclear at the moment if he'll stay in the Garden State.

Moore's 20:28 of ice time in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Sharks was third on his team, but he accrued just one shot and one block.

EDGE Analysis

Moore's well-rounded game helps him eat minutes, but he doesn't turn those opportunities into much fantasy-relevant production. The 27-year-old defenseman's mired in a 14-game point drought, and doesn't stand out in any other category, either.

Moore tied for the team lead with four shots, but he failed to get on the scoresheet in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Calgary.

EDGE Analysis

Moore's strong skating ability allows him to often join the rush offensively, but he's always had trouble turning those opportunities into points. The blueliner has just six goals and eight assists in 53 games after amassing a mere one point in his past 11 games.

Moore saw his two-game point streak come to a close after being held off the scoresheet in 19:31 of ice time during Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.

EDGE Analysis

Moore's bounced around since being drafted 21st overall in 2009 by the Blue Jackets, but he's having the best season of his career for New Jersey. His plus-7 rating is tied for a career best and Moore's 13 points in 43 games have him on pace to eclipse last season's career high of 22. It's nice to see him improving, but Moore's current production makes him a fringe option at best in standard leagues.

Moore is set to play in his 400th career game Thursday night against the visiting Rangers.

EDGE Analysis

Moore donned the blue shirt from 2012-14, making this milestone extra special for him. The American defenseman does a little bit of everything, though he doesn't stand out from the pack in one particular area. He's collected eight points, 62 hits and 45 blocked shots to complement a plus-5 rating through 33 games with the Devils this season.

Moore scored the overtime winner in Monday's 4-3 triumph at Minnesota.

Moore potted his third goal of the season to end it 52 seconds into overtime. The 27-year-old blueliner's on a career-best scoring pace with eight points through 20 games.

Moore dished out an assist in 17:45 of ice time in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Blues.

Moore helped his team get on the board just 3:35 in courtesy of fourth-liner Blake Coleman, but was on the ice for one of the opposition's two even-strength goals to finish with an even rating. The 26-year-old blueliner broke a six-game point drought with this performance, raising his season point total to six in 14 games. Moore's ability to join the rush offensively coupled with an offseason influx of young forward talent around him should allow Moore to easily top last season's career-high 22 points if he stays healthy.

EDGE Analysis

Obviously he wouldn't have spent so much time on the ice had it not been for the overtime sequence, but nonetheless this is a promising sign for Moore's fantasy owners; he's being relied upon when the Devils need him the most. While the American rearguard didn't pad the scoresheet in this one, he's still acquitting himself within the offense based on his total of two goals and three assists through nine games.

With his first multi-point performance of the year, Moore now has two goals and five points in seven games played. Dragged out over the 82-game slate, that would set him on pace for over 58 points; Moore posted career highs in goals and points last year, with 12 and 22 respectively. While he may not keep his current pace, it seems like the 26-year-old blueliner will surpass last season's numbers.
