Gibson will defend the net during Wednesday's Game 4 against the Sharks, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was chased from Game 3 after surrendering five goals on 24 shots and will need to step up his game for the Ducks to have any dreams of taking the series back home for a Game 5 after falling into a 3-0 hole. The 24-year-old netminder isn't foreign to postseason success, posting a 9-5 record with a 2.59 GAA and a .918 save percentage in the 2016-17 playoffs.

Gibson made 19 saves against 24 shots Monday before being chased after two periods of an 8-1 loss to San Jose in Game 3.
EDGE Analysis
This didn't go anywhere near according to plan for Anaheim. Gibson had been acceptable in the first two games at home, but going on the road proved a different story on Monday. Neither Gibson nor Ryan Miller was effective in this game, and if Gibson can't bounce back quickly, he'll find himself done for the season by the end of the week.

Gibson will defend the cage for Monday's Game 3 in San Jose, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the fact that the Ducks face a 2-0 hole in the series, Gibson hasn't necessarily been bad, posting a 3.04 GAA and .913 save percentage over the two games. After scoring a total of two goals in the series, Anaheim's offense will likely put together an energetic, desperate performance in Game 3. While Gibson will be hoping for some scoring support, he'll be facing shots from a Sharks team that posted an impressive 25-13-3 record while scoring 3.29 goals per contest at home this season.

Gibson yielded three goals on 35 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Sharks on Saturday. The Sharks lead the first-round series 2-0.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old has allowed three goals in each of the first two games, but he's not getting much help. The Ducks have scored two goals, which is as many goals the Anaheim penalty kill has allowed to the Sharks in the series. Gibson is now an even 11-11 with a .916 save percentage in his postseason career.

Gibson will be between the pipes for Saturday's Game 2 clash with the Sharks, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
In 23 career postseason performances (including Game 1 on Thursday), Gibson has an 11-10 record with a .917 save percentage. While those numbers aren't stellar, they are certainly good enough to keep the netminder in contention if he can get some offensive support -- something he was completely lacking last time out.

Gibson made 31 saves on 34 shots in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Sharks in Thursday's Game 1.
EDGE Analysis
This was Gibson's first outing after missing three starts to end the season. Perhaps he can be forgiven for not standing on his head, especially since the Ducks allowed quite a few shots and one of the goals was on a 5-on-3 power play. The American netminder will look to be sharper in Game 2.

Gibson will start in goal at home Thursday for Game 1 of the first-round playoff series against the Sharks, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old netminder owns an 11-9-0 record, 2.66 GAA and .917 save percentage over 22 playoff starts. While those are fairly good peripherals, his allied defensemen could pay him a favor by improving upon the 33.1 shots allowed per game from the regular season, as only five teams allowed more pucks on net, and the Ducks won't have two-way blueliner Cam Fowler (shoulder) available to help Gibson. As for the Sharks, they ranked 13th in regular-season scoring but are notorious for fizzling out during the playoffs.

Gibson (upper body) practiced Monday and will be available a "viable option" for the Ducks in Game 1 of the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Sharks on Thursday, the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
This report falls short of declaring Gibson as the starter for the playoff opener, but he worked out in full Monday and at least appears healthy enough to play from the get-go. The big netminder finished the regular season with a 31-18-7 record (four shutouts), 2.43 GAA and .926 save percentage. Gibson's been terrific against the Kings in his career based on nine wins and a .935 save rate through 13 appearances.

Gibson (upper body) did not travel for the regular-season finale Saturday against the Coyotes, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Randy Carlyle didn't disclose who will start in goal for the Ducks, but it shouldn't come as a surprise that Gibson will rest the regular-season finale as he prepares for a postseason run in the cage. He will have at least four more days of rest as a result, with the playoffs officially kicking off Wednesday.

Per coach Randy Carlyle, Gibson received a second round of treatment for his upper-body injury Wednesday and could resume skating "in the next little while," Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Ducks are still battling to hold onto a wild-card playoff spot, so they'll hope to have their starting netminder back in action as soon as possible. That won't happen Wednesday against Minnesota, and Friday's matchup with Dallas seems like a long shot at this point, but Gibson could potentially be cleared to play in time for Saturday's season finale against Arizona. If not, the American netminder will set his sights on recovering in time for Game 1 of Anaheim's first-round playoff series. However, in order for that to be a possibility, the Ducks will need to hold off Colorado and St. Louis while Gibson remains sidelined.
