Gibson stopped 22 of 25 shots faced during Tuesday's 3-0 road loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has now conceded his last three starts since a 4-1 win over the Lightning on Jan. 5, allowing three or more goals in each of those losses. The 31-year-old is having a bounce-back season after a couple of down years but is facing a stiff challenge from rookie Lukas Dostal for the starter's workload, which makes him a less reliable fantasy asset than he has been in recent seasons.

Gibson stopped all 12 shots he faced in relief of Lukas Dostal in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was sharp, but the Blues eased up after dominating the first 30 minutes of the contest. The 31-year-old netminder has allowed just seven goals on 112 shots over four appearances in January, and with Dostal starting to falter, the door may be open for Gibson to get more playing time. Gibson is 7-5-2 with a 2.69 GAA and a .916 save percentage through 16 appearances. He should start one of the next two games, either Saturday in Philadelphia or Sunday in Carolina.

Gibson gave up three goals on 33 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
This was Gibson's third start in the last four games, suggesting he may be pushing Lukas Dostal for playing time. The 31-year-old Gibson has allowed seven goals while going 2-0-1 over three appearances in January. He's now 7-5-2 with a 2.79 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 15 appearances, his best ratios in six years. Sustaining that level of play behind a young team may be tough, but Gibson needs to be rostered in fantasy if he's going to see at least half of the starts in Anaheim. The Ducks begin a road trip Thursday in St. Louis and have a weekend back-to-back ahead with stops in Philadelphia on Saturday and Carolina on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis
Gibson will make his 14th appearance of the campaign Sunday -- the 31-year-old has a 6-5-1 record, .906 save percentage and 2.93 GAA. Gibson stopped 27 of 30 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson made his first start since Dec. 20, when he allowed three goals in a 4-2 loss to the Avalanche, and earned his first victory since the 4-3 win over the Blue Jackets on Dec. 14. Gibson should remain as the backup for the time being, so his fantasy upside is limited, but his 2.93 GAA is decent considering his 13 appearances (6-5-1) and .906 save percentage, so it wouldn't be a shock to see him challenge for more opportunities. From a purely statistical perspective, he's having his best numbers since 2020-21.
