Fast scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Both of Fast's points came in the third period, as he drew a helper on Jordan Staal's game-winning goal and later added some insurance with his third goal of the season. The former Ranger is a terrific two-way player, but his middle-six role is more important to the Hurricanes than in the fantasy realm.

Fast scored two goals, one on the power play, in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
He kept Carolina in the game for two periods, but eventually the team needed more offense than Fast could provide by himself. The former Ranger had gone 11 straight games without scoring a goal to begin his tenure with the 'Canes, but he does have five points in the last nine games and his spot on the second power-play unit gives him some fantasy appeal in deeper formats.

Fast notched an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
It was Fast's second helper in four games since being activated from the NHL's COVID-19 protocol in early February. The 29-year-old Swede is still averaging roughly 13 minutes per game skating on the Canes' fourth line, so he still offers marginal fantasy appeal at best in most standard formats.

Fast was activated from the NHL's COVID-19 protocol Tuesday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fast will first need to get back to practice, so he won't play in Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks. The Hurricanes' next scheduled game is Thursday in a rematch against the Blackhawks, so the 29-year-old will aim to return at that point.

Fast was added to the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list Saturday, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes now have six players on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list. Carolina's game against Tampa Bay on Tuesday is currently still scheduled to take place, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the NHL announce a postponement in the coming days.

Fast signed a three-year, $6 million contract with the Hurricanes on Saturday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers selected Fast in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, and he put up 147 points over 422 games with the team. Last season, the 28-year-old winger produced 12 goals, 17 assists and 125 hits over 69 games. The Hurricanes could use that physicality in their bottom six, and Fast will be a fixture in the lineup during the upcoming season.

Fast (undisclosed) won't play in Tuesday's Game 3 against the Hurricanes, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fast is still dealing with the undisclosed injury he suffered during Saturday's Game 1 when he took a huge hit from Carolina's Brady Skjei. The Rangers are facing elimination, so if they're unable to extend the series Tuesday, Fast will finish the campaign having totaled 29 points in 70 contests.

Fast (undisclosed) will not suit up for Game 2 against Carolina on Monday, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fast exited Game 1 on Saturday after sustaining a big check by former teammate Brady Skjei in his first shift of the game. Per Rosen, Kaapo Kakko is a candidate to jump into Fast's second-line slot, while Steven Fogarty and Vitali Kravtsov could draw into the lineup to show up Fast's absence.
