Linus Ullmark will be between the pipes for Thurday's game in Seattle. Swayman has been brick-wall-like recently, turning in a sparkling .968 save percentage and stingy 0.97 GAA over a 3-0-1 stretch. The Sharks, meanwhile, currently sit 25th with an average of 2.66 goals for this season.

Swayman made 28 saves in Monday's 5-1 win over the Avalanche.

Aside from a Nathan MacKinnon power-play goal in the second period, Swayman handled everything Colorado threw at him in a game Boston mostly dominated. The 23-year-old netminder is 3-0-1 over his last four starts as he begins to seize hold of the No. 1 job for the Bruins, and through 22 NHL appearances this season he carries a stellar 2.09 GAA and .925 save percentage.

Swayman will get the starting nod at home versus Colorado on Monday, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.

Swayman is undefeated in regulation in his last three contests, as he went 2-0-1 with a fantastic 0.96 GAA. The Alaska native appears to have staked a claim for the starting job over Linus Ullmark as he appears in his fourth game in the club's last five contests.

Tim Stutzle beat him on a wrist shot from the left side off a rebound in the second. He then made several strong saves to deny Tyler Ennis in the third before surrendering the tying goal to Nick Holden late in that frame. Swayman has allowed just three goals on 95 shots in his past three starts.

Swayman will make his fifth appearance in the last eight games -- he's allowed six goals on 102 shots (.941 save percentage) in the previous four. The 23-year-old netminder appears to have the edge on Linus Ullmark for the No. 1 job for the Bruins. Swayman will get a fairly favorable matchup against a Senators team that has won four of its last eight games with 18 goals scored in that span.

Swayman stopped 33 shots in regulation and overtime and six of nine shootout attempts in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Rangers.

EDGE Analysis

The 23-year-old took a shutout into the third period as it looked like he might best Igor Shesterkin in a goaltending duel, but Filip Chytil handcuffed him with a shot from the faceoff circle and Swayman couldn't control the rebound, allowing Chytil to bang home the puck to force OT. Swayman has started three of four games since the All-Star break, going 1-1-1 with a 1.31 GAA and .955 save percentage, and he could be seizing the No. 1 job in Boston now that Tuukka Rask is out of the picture again.

Swayman is coming off his second shutout of the season, stopping all 30 shots on goal in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Ottawa. The 23-year-old stopped 26 of 30 shots on goal en route to a 5-2 loss to the Rangers in their last meeting Nov. 26. Over nine appearances since his loss to the Broadway Blueshirts, Swayman has gone 3-3-2 with a 1.99 GAA and .931 save percentage. At home this season, the Rangers have posted a 15-4-2 record while averaging 29.7 shots on goal and 3.24 goals for.

Swayman made 30 saves in a 2-0 win over Ottawa on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

He was recalled from the AHL on Jan. 29 and had some ups and downs in a 4-2 loss to the Pens on Tuesday and allowing two goals on 14 shots in relief on Jan. 30 in his two previous games. Swayman was especially strong over the last two periods when the Sens turned up the heat and outshot the Bruins 22-15. It was his second shutout this season. Barring an addition to the Bruins' lineup, Swayman and Linus Ullmark will backstop the team as they push to the postseason.

Swayman will guard the road cage during Saturay's matchup with the Senators.

Swayman wasn't great in his last start Tuesday against the Penguins, allowing three goals on just 24 shots en route to a 4-2 defeat. He'll try to get back on track in a favorable road matchup with an Ottawa team that's averaging 2.68 goals per game at home this year, 26th in the NHL.

Swayman was given a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission but he couldn't make it stick, with the Pens' second goal being a rough one that trickled up and over the netminder's shoulder after he seemed to have made the save. With Tuukka Rask (lower body) sidelined at the moment, Swayman will split work in the crease for Boston with Linus Ullmark.
