Jagr (lower body) won't be in the lineup to play Washington on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr was originally given a solid chance to suit up against the Caps, but after Sunday's practice he either wasn't given the necessary medical clearance or head coach Glen Gulutzan didn't feel the 45-year-old would be able to offer enough in his current state. Without Jagr in the lineup, 2012 first-round pick Mark Jankowski will play his third-consecutive game. While Jankowski has yet to record an NHL point, he has great size and playmaking ability that should eventually translate into production.

Jagr (lower body) is "really close" according to coach Glen Gulutzan and could return to the lineup against Washington on Sunday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it is certainly encouraging news for fantasy owners, it does effectively rule Jagr out versus the Stars on Friday. The 45-year-old has notched just two helpers in five outings since joining Calgary, but with 765 career goals, has probably earned the benefit of the doubt that he will pick up his productivity soon.

Jagr (lower body) will need an injured reserve trip for his ailment.
EDGE Analysis
After exiting against Minnesota on Saturday, Jagr's injury appears to be more serious than originally anticipated. The 45-year-old has only appeared in five games this season as a result of his late contract signing, but had picked up two points in his last two games on the first line before his ailment. While the severity of Jagr's injury hasn't been released by Calgary, he can first reappear with the team Oct. 29 against Washington.

Jagr did not return to the bench for the second period of Saturday's tilt against the Wild due to a lower-body ailment.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the first three games while getting up to speed, Jagr has slowly started to gel with his new team, potting an assist in each of his previous two outings. Depending on the severity of the injury, the 45-year-old could be in doubt of taking over the all-time record for games played from Gordie Howe (1,767). The Flames should provide an update on Jagr's status prior to facing the Predators on Tuesday.

Jagr assisted on a Johnny Gaudreau goal for his first point in a Flames uniform Saturday against Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr's age has been showing through his first three games with the Flames, but he still has the ability to put up some points. The 45-year-old only skated 11:57 in the victory, but he's skating on the first power-play unit and feathered a nice pass to Gaudreau that put the Flames up 5-1. Jagr may no longer be a fantasy asset, but he still has some services to offer in deeper formats.

Jagr picked up a minor penalty and four empty shots in Friday's 6-0 home loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
The iconic winger was whistled for hooking Tom Pyatt in the second period and only Matthew Tkachuck had more shots among Calgary skaters with five, but fantasy managers who nabbed Jagr as a late-round speculative pick before he signed with the Flames and may have prompted owners to shout, "oh, I forgot about him!" will have to practice patience, as the 45-year-old has posted a minus-1 rating over his first two games in the new sweater.

Jagr (rest) will suit up for the Flames on Wednesday against the Kings, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr has been working his way back into game preparedness after waiting to sign a contract until preseason had wrapped up. The 45-year-old needs just 57 games to become the all-time leader for NHL games played, something he would achieve in mid-February barring injury. The Czech native figures to slot into a third-line role for the time being, although could factor in anywhere in the lineup.

Jagr (rest) will not suit up against the Ducks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr didn't sign with the Flames until after training camp which means he is still working to get up to game speed. While no timeline has been announced for the ageless wonder's debut with Calgary, it is hard to imagine the team will want to keep him out of the lineup when it returns to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday.

Jagr, who missed Opening Night with the Flames due to visa/immigration obstacles, likely will miss Saturday's home contest against the Jets, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
One of the most celebrated players in NHL history, Jagr signed a one-year deal with the Flames on Wednesday, but with the ageless wonder (OK, he's 45) evidently still not ready to rock, Curtis Lazar is slated to draw into the lineup alongside Kris Versteeg and Sam Bennett. This means Jagr's next chance to play will be Monday for a road contest against the Ducks.

Jagr officially signed a one-year contract with Calgary on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Calgary will give the five-time Art Ross winner a one-year contract worth $1 million for his services during the 2017-18 season. Jagr's leadership skills were likely a major factor in the signing, as the Flames look to develop their young forward core of Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, and Matthew Tkachuk into perennial playoff contenders. However, Jagr will not appear in Calgary's opening night contest Wednesday due to immigration problems, and will look to take the ice Saturday against Winnipeg.
