Walman has two goals and 10 assists through 33 games with AHL Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Walman has had more than enough opportunities to score, having fired the puck on net 80 times this season. His knack for firing the puck on net is consistent with the Blues' vision, which has led to a hefty increase in offensive production from blueliners in the first half of this campaign. However, the St. Louis is a tough blue line to crack -- ask Jordan Schmaltz -- so Walman will need to increase his offensive abilities further to make the cut next season.

Walman agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Walman recently completed his junior season at Providence College where he was named a Hockey East First-Team All-Star for the second consecutive season. The 6-foot, 193-pound defenseman has shown both offensive and defensive prowess from the blue line, notching seven goals, 18 assists, and a plus-11 rating in 39 games for the Friars this season. He will immediately report to AHL Chicago and will be a fascinating prospect to watch going forward.

Walman is on track with his rehab from shoulder surgery and expects to be back to full strength prior to the start of the season, Mark Divver of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Walman originally hurt the shoulder after being hit into the boards during a game with Providence University back in December, and then re-injured the shoulder in February. He then went on to have shoulder surgery in March and has been rehabbing ever since. Walman expects to be back to full strength by the start of the season, but considering he's yet to see action in an NHL game, he remains off the fantasy radar.
