DeBrusk (COVID-19 protocol) was listed as a non-roster player Saturday, per CapFriendly.
EDGE Analysis
This is fairly standard procedure for players in the protocol, and it shouldn't affect DeBrusk's timing on a return to the team. It's unclear when the winger will be available again.

DeBrusk was placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
At this point, there's no telling when DeBrusk might be eligible to return to action, but he'll miss Saturday's game versus the Rangers at a minimum. Nick Ritchie is expected get the first crack at replacing DeBrusk on the Bruins' second line.

DeBrusk skated on the Bruins' second line during Thursday's morning skate.
EDGE Analysis
DeBrusk, who's notched just one goal and five points in 17 games thus far, was a healthy scratch Tuesday, but he's set to skate with David Krejci and Nick Ritchie when the Bruins and Rangers take the ice Thursday night. Despite his slow start, the streaky DeBrusk has the upside to get back on track in short order and help provide Boston with some much-needed secondary scoring.

DeBrusk will be a healthy scratch Tuesday night against the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Through 17 games, DeBrusk has recorded just one goal and five points to go along with a minus-4 rating. The 24-year-old is being counted on by the Bruins to produce at a higher rate, and perhaps a temporary view from the press box will help DeBrusk reset. With that in mind, we suspect that the winger will be back in the lineup before long, possibly as soon as Thursday against the Rangers.

DeBrusk scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
It was a night of long-overdue firsts, as Kyle Palmieri finally scored his first two goals of the season for New Jersey and DeBrusk answered with his first tally of 2020-21. The 24-year-old winger recorded at least 16 goals and 35 points in each of his first three seasons, but he has just three points through 10 appearances and 15 team games. Perhaps finally seeing the puck cross the goal line will help DeBrusk break out of his early slump.

DeBrusk skated on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand at Monday's practice, Eric Russo of the Bruins' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, David Pastrnak, who had been on the team's top line, worked with David Krejci and Nick Ritchie. Though we suspect that the line-shuffling noted here isn't necessarily a long-term arrangement, it looks like DeBrusk could see top-line duty Thursday night against New Jersey, as coach Bruce Cassidy looks to spark more scoring from the team's top six up front.

DeBrusk (lower body) notched an assist, a team-high seven shots on goal and three hits in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
DeBrusk assisted on Anders Bjork's third-period tally. DeBrusk could have had a goal of his own, but the play was denied on a review. The 24-year-old missed the last five games, but he skated 14:08 and didn't seem any worse for wear -- statistically, it was his best game of the year. The Alberta native is up to two assists, 16 shots on net and six hits through seven appearances this year.

Coach Bruce Cassidy relayed that DeBrusk (lower body) will return to action Wednesday night against the Rangers, Conor Ryan of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his return to the lineup, DeBrusk is on track to work on the Bruins' third line along with Charlie Coyle and Anders Bjork. Additionally, DeBrusk is a candidate to see second-unit power-play duty versus New York. The winger is off to a slow start (one point in six games) this season, but given his track record it seems inevitable that the 24-year-old will pick up his scoring pace.

DeBrusk (lower body) skated on the Bruins' third line along with Charlie Coyle and Anders Bjork during Tuesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic notes that DeBrusk worked with the Bruins' second power-play unit Tuesday. The winger, who last suited up on Jan. 26, indicated Monday that he feels "100 percent" and looks ready to go for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Eric Russo of the Bruins' official site reports. While DeBrusk figures to move up in the lineup at some point, in his initial return he'll work on Coyle's line as the team looks to find ways to generate more 5-on-5 scoring. DeBrusk -- who found the back of the net 19 times in 65 games last season -- has logged just one assist in six games to date, but he's being counted on to pick up the pace as the 2020-21 campaign progresses.

DeBrusk (lower body) is expected to return to action Wednesday against the Rangers, Eric Russo of the Bruins' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeBrusk has been skating of late in anticipation of rejoining the lineup the next time the Bruins play. The team's scheduled games Saturday and Monday against the Sabres have been postponed. With the extra time afforded by that development, it looks like both DeBrusk and Matt Grzelcyk, (lower body) will be back in business versus New York on Wednesday. DeBrusk's looming return will result in some line shuffling for coach Bruce Cassidy, but look for the winger to re-join the team's second line, centered by David Krejci.
