Allen has not started since last Tuesday when he had his five game winning streak snapped. He should be well rested when he faces the Oilers tonight. It is a good matchup for Allen, so he should make for a good start tonight.
SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE - 3/24/2013 primepucks.com Sun 3/24/13 7:26 AM
Enjoy your coffee!
Yesterday was my twin sons, Derek & Shane, birthday and they played in a basketball tournament final game but lost. However, my son Shane hit an almost 3/4 of the length-of-the-court shot off the glass as time expired at the half. That is something that he will always remember. Happy Birthday boys!
I'm so impressed how Ottawa has maintained their high level of play without its major stars. Kudos Paul MacLean!
Daniel Alfredsson and Sergei Gonchar have really shown their leadership skills this year.
What has happened to Tampa Bay after they did so good early on?
Robin Lehner, Jacob Markstrom and Jake Allen are going to be real studs in net as they gain more experience.
The Minnesota Wild are starting to roll much like they did in the first half of last season.

Goalie Start: Jake Allen starts in Vancouver. dailyfaceoff.com Mon 3/18/13 2:56 PM
Allen was fantasy gold last week. He went 3-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA, .969 SV% and one shutout. He has a tough matchup vs. the Canucks tomorrow. However given the way he has played since being recalled, he should give the Blues a chance to win.
ADD'EM: PLENTY OF FAMILIAR FACES RETURNING primepucks.com Mon 3/18/13 7:31 AM
Considering the quality of players returning from injuries, this is a great week to cash in on the waiver-wire crop available in your leagues. With the exception of Jake Allen, the rest of our recommendations have flourished in the NHL before, so don't waste time looking these guys up. The fantasy season is coming close to the end, so you need to stay on the top of your game. Good luck!

Allen is 6-1 on the season with a 2.63 GAA and .903 SV% - outplaying last season's standout goalie tandem Halak and Elliott. No idea how long Hitch will ride the youngster but it could be safe to give up on Elliott - the lower performing goalie of the two - and hope that Halak gets reintroduced more down the stretch.
