Markstrom stopped 19 of 21 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom had a fairly light workload Saturday, though the Islanders were within striking distance for a large portion of the game. This was his fourth straight win since he was pulled Feb. 1 versus the Stars. The 32-year-old improved to 20-10-5 with a 2.12 GAA and a .926 save percentage in 36 appearances. The Flames continue their homestand with a back-to-back Tuesday versus the Blue Jackets and Wednesday versus the Ducks -- it wouldn't be surprising to see Markstrom and Daniel Vladar split those starts considering the former has started 12 straight games.

EDGE Analysis
Markstrom will make his 12th consecutive appearance Saturday. Over the last 11 games, the 32-year-old has posted a 7-3-0 record with a 2.06 GAA and .928 save percentage. As visitors this season, the Islanders have averaged 30.2 shots on goal and 2.53 goals for alongside an 8-8-3 record. Markstrom stopped 34 of 36 shots en route to a 5-2 victory over the Islanders in their last meeting Nov. 20.

Markstrom turned aside 46 of 48 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
Starting on back-to-back nights, Markstrom didn't have it easy Thursday. The Maple Leafs mainly controlled the direction of play, though the Flames' offense fired on all cylinders to take over on the scoreboard in the second period. Markstrom has won his last four decisions, and he's allowed just seven goals in his last five appearances. The Swede improved to 19-10-5 with a 2.13 GAA and a .927 save percentage through 35 outings. He's started 11 straight games -- head coach Darryl Sutter may soon turn to Daniel Vladar since the Flames have a back-to-back on tap next week, but it seems likely Markstrom goes again Saturday versus the Islanders.

Markstrom will guard the home goal in Thursday's game versus the Maple Leafs, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom is coming off of his league-leading eighth shutout of the season when he blanked the Golden Knights in Wednesday's 6-0 game. Markstrom has looked very good lately, but starting both halves of a back-to-back, especially against two good teams, could make Thursday's outing a tough challenge.

Markstrom stopped all 28 shots he faced in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom notched his eighth shutout, while nobody else in the NHL has more than four this season. In fact, no NHL goalie has posted at least eight shutouts in one season since Sergei Bobrovsky racked up nine in 2018-19, and Markstrom still has almost half a season (39 games) to add to his total. George Hainsworth's NHL record of 22 shutouts set in 1928-29 remains out of reach, but Markstrom could conceivably challenge the second-place mark of 15 shared by Alec Connell (twice), Hal Winkler and Tony Esposito.

Markstrom will start Wednesday's game against visiting Vegas, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom has appeared in the last nine games, turning in a 2.31 GAA and .913 save percentage. He'll look for his 18th win of the season in a tough matchup against a Golden Knights squad that sits second in the Western Conference since Dec. 1 with 93 goals for (in 26 games).

Markstrom stopped 26 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
The Flames never trailed in this one, but Markstrom still had to be sharp as the Coyotes kept it close. The Swede has turned in some uneven performances over the last month, but this was a solid showing heading into the All-Star break. He improved to 17-10-5 with a 2.20 GAA and a .923 save percentage in 33 games. The Flames resume their season next Wednesday in a tough home game versus the Golden Knights.

Markstrom will guard the road goal Wednesday against the Coyotes, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom gave up three goals on 23 shots in two periods before he was pulled from Tuesday's game versus the Stars. The Flames rallied to win that contest, but Markstrom will get a chance to redeem himself against one of the league's worst offenses right before the All-Star break.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom only played two periods, as head coach Darryl Sutter brought in Daniel Vladar for the final 20 minutes. The Flames' comeback spared Markstrom from the loss, though this was a continuation of the Swede's inconsistent play of late. He's allowed one goal or less in five of his 10 appearances since the start of January, but he's allowed three or more in the other five outings. Overall, Markstrom has a 16-10-5 record, a 2.20 GAA and a .923 save percentage through 32 contests. The Flames' last game before the All-Star break is Wednesday against the Coyotes.

Markstrom will guard the road goal Tuesday versus the Stars, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom is coming off of his second shutout in his last three starts after he made 15 saves versus the Canucks on Saturday. The Stars' first line could be a threat, but Markstrom has allowed one goal or fewer in four of his last six outings.
