Markstrom stopped 26 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
The Flames never trailed in this one, but Markstrom still had to be sharp as the Coyotes kept it close. The Swede has turned in some uneven performances over the last month, but this was a solid showing heading into the All-Star break. He improved to 17-10-5 with a 2.20 GAA and a .923 save percentage in 33 games. The Flames resume their season next Wednesday in a tough home game versus the Golden Knights.

EDGE Analysis
Markstrom gave up three goals on 23 shots in two periods before he was pulled from Tuesday's game versus the Stars. The Flames rallied to win that contest, but Markstrom will get a chance to redeem himself against one of the league's worst offenses right before the All-Star break.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom only played two periods, as head coach Darryl Sutter brought in Daniel Vladar for the final 20 minutes. The Flames' comeback spared Markstrom from the loss, though this was a continuation of the Swede's inconsistent play of late. He's allowed one goal or less in five of his 10 appearances since the start of January, but he's allowed three or more in the other five outings. Overall, Markstrom has a 16-10-5 record, a 2.20 GAA and a .923 save percentage through 32 contests. The Flames' last game before the All-Star break is Wednesday against the Coyotes.

Markstrom is coming off of his second shutout in his last three starts after he made 15 saves versus the Canucks on Saturday. The Stars' first line could be a threat, but Markstrom has allowed one goal or fewer in four of his last six outings.

Markstrom posted a 15-save shutout in Saturday's 1-0 overtime win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom was hardly tested through the first two periods, and he held his ground in the third against his old team. The 31-year-old has picked up two shutouts in his last three starts, and he's up to a league-leading seven this season. The Swede improved to 16-10-5 with a 2.15 GAA and a .924 save percentage through 31 appearances. He's made seven straight starts, but a road back-to-back with a game Tuesday in Dallas followed by Wednesday's contest in Arizona should afford Daniel Vladar a chance to start before the All-Star break.

The 31-year-old recorded a shutout Wednesday and followed it up with a 5-1 loss to St. Louis on Thursday, in which he stopped 23 of 28 shots on net. Vancouver is coming off a 5-1 win over Winnipeg on Thursday. The Canucks have been inconsistent in January, posting a 4-4-2 record and averaging 31.9 shots on goal per game through the month.

Markstrom surrendered five goals on 28 shots in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Starting in the both halves of a back-to-back, Markstrom wasn't able to repeat his shutout performance from Wednesday's 6-0 drubbing of the Blue Jackets. The Swede was particularly troubled by Brandon Saad (two goals, one assist) and Brayden Schenn (one of each) in Thursday's contest. Markstrom slipped to 15-10-5 with a 2.22 GAA and a .923 save percentage through 30 appearances. He's started six games in a row -- Daniel Vladar may get the nod in at least one of the Flames' three remaining contests before the All-Star break.

EDGE Analysis
Daniel Vladar was originally supposed to get the start but it will be Markstrom in the crease. The 31-year-old is 15-9-5 with a terrific .926 save percentage and six shutouts. He's been dominant on the road this season with a .935 save percentage.

Markstrom made 23 saves on 23 shots in a 6-0 win over the Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom was boosted by an offense that would not quit in this one, firing a whopping 62 shots on goal. The 31-year-old has been a bit on and off of late, allowing one goal or less in four of his last seven starts. The only problem is that the other three starts over that stretch saw him allow a total of 14 goals. Markstrom is 15-9-5 with six shutouts this season in what is certainly a career year.

Markstrom is expected to defend the cage against the Blue Jackets on the road Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Over his last eight games, Markstrom has been incredibly inconsistent with five games in which he allowed four or more goals as well as a trio of one-goal outings. For its part, Columbus hasn't scored more than two goals in any of its last four contests, so it could be an opportunity for the 31-year-old Swede to put together a strong performance.
