He led all skaters in blocks. Early in the third, Provorov got in front of a slap shot by Michael Rasmussen that appeared to injure him. Rasmus Ristolainen pushed him to the bench while the play was going on, and he somehow didn't miss a shift. The guy is a beast. Provorov has 105 blocks and 62 hits, along with two goals and 13 assists in 46 games.

Provorov scored a goal in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Coyotes.

Provorov's marker came at 11:42 of the second period to give the Flyers a 4-2 edge. He had been cold offensively going into the contest, registering just an assist in his last 12 games. The 25-year-old also hadn't netted a goal since Nov. 10. Provorov now has two goals and 14 points in 39 games this season.

The assist ended a nine-game point drought for Provorov, whose hot start to the season is but a distant memory now. The 25-year-old blueliner has 13 points, 69 shots on net, 86 blocked shots, 55 hits and a minus-10 rating through 36 outings. His relentless defensive work keeps him in a top-four role, but fantasy managers in standard formats can likely find similar or better blue-line options on the waiver wire.

Provorov remains stuck in a 16-game goal drought despite averaging 1.94 shots over that stretch. During his slump, the 25-year-old defender has tallied just four helpers, including one with the man advantage, with his primary fantasy value coming from defensive stats. Still, with 12 points to start the season, Provorov should still be capable of reaching the 25-point threshold for the seventh consecutive campaign.

Provorov has bounced back from a six-game point drought with two assists over his last three games. The defenseman doesn't have to be steady on offense to help in fantasy formats that reward his physical play. The 25-year-old is at 10 points, 48 shots on net, 36 hits, 57 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 22 outings.

The blueliner tried to spark a comeback from an early 3-0 deficit, but the Flyers couldn't find an equalizer before allowing a couple of empty netters. Provorov has been running hot or cold to begin the season but appears to be heating up again, and through 13 games he's produced a goal and eight points.

With goalie Thomas Greiss keeping the struggling Blues competitive with 18 first-period saves, Provorov made a key play Tuesday to help break a scoreless tie and begin a three-goal, second-period surge. The 25-year-old defenseman provided the primary helper on Wade Allison's game-opening goal and added three shots and two hits during a team-high 24:12 of ice time.

Provorov was excellent on both ends in this one. He gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead with his ninth goal of the season in the first and assisted on Travis Konecny's tally in the second. The plus-3 performance tied Provorov's season best, improving his rating to a still-subpar minus-19.

Provorov had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 loss to Toronto on Saturday.

Provorov snapped an 11-game point drought in a big way. He tied it 2-2 in the second period when he wired a one-timer in the slot off a pretty pass from Kevin Hayes. And then he cut the lead to 4-3 at 12:23 in the third when his point shot deflected in off David Kampf's leg. This was the first time Provorov scored twice since Jan. 4, 2018 when he did the same against the Isles. His season has been an anchor around the necks of fantasy managers. Prior to Saturday's outburst, Provorov had just one assist in his previous 17 games.
