Fedotov has turned his season around in his last two starts, allowing five goals on 60 shots in wins over Tampa Bay and Ottawa. He started the season off slowly, losing all three starts while giving up 14 goals on 78 shots (.821 save percentage). The Sabres are averaging 3.41 goals per game.

Fedotov made 33 saves in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

Two of Ottawa's goals came on power plays, and Fedotov didn't have much chance on the even-strength tallies, either. The 27-year-old still came up with enough stops to earn his second straight win after an 0-3-0 start to the season. With Samuel Ersson (lower body) banged up again, Fedotov could be in line for more work in the short term, but his 3.99 GAA and .862 save percentage through five appearances remain discouraging from a fantasy perspective.

Fedotov will get the starting nod on the road against Ottawa on Thursday.

Fedotov has played just once in the Flyers' last nine games but impressed with a 22-save victory over the Lightning on Nov. 7. In his four appearances this year, the 27-year-old Finn is 1-3-0 with a 4.05 GAA and .851 save percentage. If he puts together another strong outing, Fedotov could be in the mix for a few more opportunities the rest of the way.

Fedotov made 23 saves Thursday in a 2-1 shootout win over Tampa Bay.

The 27-year-old will have an emergency backup (Kyle Konin), so Fedotov will likely play the full game regardless of his performance.

Fedotov stopped 20 of 24 shots in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals. The last two goals were empty-netters.

A comeback effort from the Flyers fell short, and it also made the game look closer than it was. Fedotov allowed three goals in less than five minutes in the second period, and that was ultimately too much to come back from. Through three starts this season, Fedotov is 0-3-0 with 14 goals allowed on 79 shots. He's doing nothing to challenge Samuel Ersson for the starting job, and Fedotov could be sent down to AHL Lehigh Valley if he can't turn things around.
