Interestingly, the 53 points that Zidlicky put up in his rookie campaign with the Predators has proven to be his best mark through 11 years of service time. He can still get it done offensively as a bottom-pairing defenseman, but Zidlicky is 38 years old and the Islanders don't need him to be a 20-plus minute player like he was with the Devils in 2014-15.
